Crown casinos would appear to be in serious trouble in NSW, Vic and WA with this admission.

Former Australian table tennis champion Adam Green was arrested early morning during police raids on nine properties linked to him.

The Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority (ILGA) has issued a temporary liquor licence which will allow Crown to run a new hotel, restaurants and bars at the new Barangaroo building.
Crown has a liquor licence from December 16 to April 30. It will be required to re-apply for a liquor licence from May 1 so that ILGA can consider any suitability concerns arising from the inquiry before granting an extension.

Maybe where the gaming tables were planned to be they could have a ballroom. James Packer could have his next wedding there.

Dear SportsBet

Please do not promote your paid shills as “wearers of pants”.
Not funny and makes you sound like you’re harbouring perverts and sex pests.

Kind regards,
humanity

EDIT 5/3: WA has followed suit.

Tabcorp’s wagering business is for sale. Fox is interested in the “bookmaking and media division” it appears.

Lachlan’s ownership of Nova and Smooth might be a problem considering the Tabcorp acquisition would include commercial radio stations in Sydney and Brisbane.

Interesting they’ve said Lachlan and not Rupert.

ACMA probably will let it pass, racing is considered niche - to them at least.

is it though? This assumption seems to be based on the reports that it’s been suggested that they demerge wagering from lotteries

Taking over a company that could potentially lose its casino licences would appear to be a crazy idea.

Or, maybe it can get the casino licenses approved if the right people were put in there with a commitment to do the right thing. That’s how I’m reading it.

Good! Anything being aimed towards kids shouldn’t have betting advertisements at all.

Also, the article does not have the words “The wowsers are back trying to ban all our fun. It’ll be imported ivory tusks & illegal fireworks next, mark our words.” Way to slip in the opinion into the article link.

Good luck to them, but I don’t see an issue with gambling advertising as part of a balanced diet.
