There’s no EFL on its channels this weekend for the opening weekend of the 2017/18 season. Reading on Twitter that they’re still in negotiations with the EFL, and Foxtel said on their (admittedly not helpful) account that the rights haven’t been awarded to any of their channels as of yet.

beIN and Foxtel in general just can’t afford to lose much more football now, they’re on the brink of being left behind in a big way. To be honest, this is unacceptable.

regardless of what foxtel want to claim, losing the EPL was a huge blow to them and if they don’t get the EFL… it’s not too good. i have friends who follow niche clubs (i’m a west brom fan) and a number are now using logons from family back home to watch on skygo

There are a couple of forums that state the EFL can be watched via streaming on a particular betting site if you are a current customer.

Not all fans follow PSG, Barcelona, Roma, Milan, Celtic, Rangers, Juventus, Bayern or Dortmund. Watching the lower leagues is fun

The 2016/17 season finished in early May so beIN Sports had about three months to sort out the new contract with the EFL. Fans won’t be happy if they miss out on the Carabao Cup (English League Cup) as well.

beIN Sports’ coverage of 2017-18 UEFA Champions League season began this morning. Here are the live matches for this week:
Today: Manchester United v Basel (beIN1), Chelsea v Qarabag (beIN2) and Barcelona v Juventus (beIN3)
Thursday: Liverpool v Sevilla (beIN1), Feyenoord v Manchester City (beIN2) and Tottenham v Borussia Dortmund (beIN3) live from 4.40am AEST

beIN signed a new broadcast deal with the EFL last week, allowing the remainder of the 2017/18 Championship season to be shown live into Australia. As part of the deal, the network will also show the Carabao League Cup and matches for League One and League Two, with all new coverage to begin immediately.

Wallabies Spring Tour Europe matches LIVE on beIN Sports

beIN SPORTS is your home for international rugby union in November, with the Wallabies’ Spring Tour matches against Wales, England and Scotland the highlights of a feast of matches.

Buoyed by their stirring Bledisloe Cup win over the All Blacks in Brisbane, the Wallabies will embark on their annual tour of the northern hemisphere full of confidence.

First up will be a Wales outfit desperate to avoid a 13th-straight loss to Australia on Saturday 12 November. The Wallabies next face Eddie Jones’s England, looking to arrest a three-match losing streak against the old enemy.

Australia concludes its Spring Tour against a Scotland full of confidence on the back of its upset 24-18 win over the Wallabies in June. Only one point separated the rivals in the corresponding fixture last year and Michael Cheika’s team will face a challenging final hit-out against Gregor Townsend’s sixth-ranked Scots.

Don’t miss the Rugby Review each Monday, from 13 November, at 9pm AEDT on beIN 3, where we round up all the week’s international action.

When to watch the Wallabies in November
Wales v Australia, Sunday 12 November, from 4am AEDT
England v Australia, Sunday 19 November, from 2am AEDT
Scotland v Australia, Sunday 26 November, from 12.30am AEDT

Note: the first match of the Wallabies’ spring tour, the one-off test against Japan in Yokohama, is live and exclusive to Fox Sports 501 this Saturday from 4pm AEDT.

I think it would be more worth it if it included BeIN Sports Connect and they had a app on the Fetchtv box so you could stream the extra content like you do with the live channels. Similar I also wondered why Foxtel has not launched a WatchESPN and BeIN Sports Connect App on the IQ3. They should be trying to get people utilising the IQ3 as much as possible rather than forcing people Chromcasting, HDMI cabling or watching on a small mobile device if they want the extra live content that ESPN and BeIN Sports provide that are not on the liner sports channels

Is this channel automated? Surely when an Aussie is playing, particularly if they’re playing Serena Williams, you switch to that match.

EDIT:

Sorry beINsports. Greedy WTA.

From this weekend BeIN Sports 2 can now show Bundesliga content. From the european leagues that BeIN Sports show I think its now only Serie A that is not allowed to be televised on BeIN Sports 2 due to it shared channel with New Zealand and they only having the rights for Australia

SerieA is on Sky Sport in NZ now, for the first time ever. Will be interesting to see whether BEIN still offer a NZ service after this current season, having lost the EPL rights which were the only reason they were in the market to begin with.

Now that Optus are taking on BeIN in terms of soccer rights it will be interesting to see if they continue with three channels long term

beIN will continue to show English Championship soccer and the League Cup in Australia, New Zealand, France and 27 countries in Middle East and North Africa until the end of 2021/22 season, after signing a new deal with the English Football League. Under the broadcast deal, beIN will also broadcast matches from League One and League Two.

Scottish soccer will be shown in Australia after beIN secured a new broadcast deal with the Scottish Professional Football League. The agreement gives BeIN exclusive coverage of the top four tiers of Scottish soccer in Australia, New Zealand, and 24 countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) until June 2020. The deal also covers the Betfred Cup (Scottish League Cup) and Irn Bru Cup (Scottish Challenge Cup) knockout competitions.

BeIN will have a special screening of El Clasico (Real Madrid v Barcelona) next Monday at the 24/7 Sports Bar at The Star in Sydney.

I wonder if they will be using the Foxtel 4K feed
