interesting role reversal, there! Although I don’t recall Bob Rogers being a “Beast” in the earlier versions, but maybe he was.
And they are missing John Laws, who served as a “Beast” on both the original Channel 7 version in the 1960s and the 1982 Channel 10 reboot.

I think you missed my point. I’m just commenting on the commentary from the 2002 episodes and making reference on how standards and views have changed with time.
I’m sure if this format was introduced today, it would be upgraded to accommodate 2026 standards.

IIRC this incident got a lot of coverage.
I remember watching this when it went to air. Pretty shocking. It’s one thing to have a debate, but chucking items at your opponent is pretty damn low.
Even if it’s Jan Murray.

Yep. One thing Stan and the Beauties did have was the ability to stage stuff like that. Marcella would’ve had him by the balls if he really went after Jan like that.
As for Kyle being a beast…erm…you’d need someone who can put up with him. Kyle sounds like an arsehole. Too much of an arsehole for people to be around.

Look up a radio doco SBS made in the 90s, it really showed how fake Stan was in regards to his persona. He wouldn’t have got along with any of those women otherwise, they were not shrinking violets.
