Unlike the much shorter reunions that US Survivor used to have, everyone that turned up tonight was addressed by Dave and got a chance to speak. The recaps were great as well.
The producers spared no expense for the finale. They even arranged for fireworks from the rooftop of the apartments on East Circular Quay, at the end of the reunion.
Richard Franc, Director from Endemol Shine, who worked on the finale shared this daytime pic of the setup next to the harbour on social media.
But Rob McKnight has reported that Survivor has been axed. Are you telling me McKnight isn’t always Right?
That’s not what he said. I suggest you watch the video again.
Once was painful enough
One of the least deserving winners ever of Survivor Australia. Good luck to him, he did at least do the outlast bit. Just too many of the jury didn’t like Jackson, nothing to do with his game, just a personality contest in the end.
Caleb won the jury vote 6-3.
Mark, Blanche, Cameron, Keeley, Sally and Loz voted for Caleb to win.
Brooke, Simon and Ben voted for Jackson to win.
Mediaweek’s Nama Winston has written a recount of her attendance at the filming of the finale in Sydney, and meeting the final two in Jackson and Caleb.
Behind the scenes, David is said to have gone above and beyond to make the transition a success. Even putting his own money on the line
“He genuinely believed in the show,” the source explains.
“He helped fund pre-season activations, giving fans the chance to win cash and buffs. He wanted to build hype and make it feel like a big event again.”
That surely can’t be right?
Why is that not believable?
I didn’t think the pre-season marketing was anything above what 10 has done for previous seasons. They’ve done public activations, buff giveaways etc etc previously. Sure there might have been a bit more this time around but I would’ve thought that was always a given with a host changeover and would be considered in the marketing budget.
Not surprised. Hopefully channel 9 can pick it up and bring back Jonathan.
Everyone but the fools who axed JLP could see this coming but in all honesty a 12 episode season rather than 24 would actually probably be a good thing.
I bet it’s still 24 episodes but just filmed in a shorter time frame.
