Australian inventions

Australia is a lucky country run mainly by second rate people who share its luck. It lives on other people’s ideas, and, although its ordinary people are adaptable, most of its leaders (in all fields) so lack curiosity about the events that surround them that they are often taken by surprise.

This country seems to lack creativity, ingenuity and inventiveness.

Have Australians ever invented anything?

We seem to so lack creativity we name our TV awards after a Scotsman who probably never even set foot in this country.

Plenty. Here’s 20 to start:

Seems pretty lazy.

Where do you want to start?

#1? Black box recorder?

One of the earliest and proven attempts was made by François Hussenot and Paul Beaudouin in 1939 in France.

Are you just trolling?

I think you’ll find none of that 20 were invented by Australians…

Sometimes that list is even blatant about it…

Take this for example: ’ 4. Google Maps

Danish brothers Lars and Jens Rasmussen’

You do realise Australia is a multicultural country and many of the people that live here were born overseas? They were born in Denmark but libe and work in Australia whete they invented it. Doesn’t make them less Australian.

Ummm… Doesn’t make them any less Danish either…

When have AUSTRALIANS ever invented anything?

Australia seems a country glad to claim credit when it comes to ‘foreigners’ achieving anything…

But local born, locally educated people seem to lack that ‘get up and go’ that immigrants do.

‘Australia is a lucky country run mainly by second rate people who share its luck. It lives on other people’s ideas…’

The bionic ear was invented by AUSTRALIAN Dr Graeme Clark, certainly a significant invention.

You’ll probably post a troll reply back saying that he’s not Australian because his great-grandparents were born overseas or something like that…

The first cochlear implant was invented and developed by Dr. William F. House.

In 1971, ALOHAnet connected the Hawaiian Islands with a UHF wireless packet network. ALOHAnet and the ALOHA protocol were early forerunners to Ethernet, and later the IEEE 802.11 protocols, respectively.

Oh dear…

This is simply trolling - thread closed
