Broadcast central will be at the Nine studios and we will be crossing to live sites all around the country. We have call centres in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney that will be full of celebrities from all networks. An incredible line-up of Australian music performers from all over the country, plus News reporters in some of the flood-impacted areas and special studio guests.

Nine and 10 in Brisbane promoting it as 6.30 and 7 promoting it as 7.30AEDT, straight after the news at 7.00AEDT

Interesting, it will be in Nine’s studios across Australia. Many of 7 and 10’s hosts would be at TCN 1D for the first time! Wondering if they would use the news studio or the WWOS studio
and also how do the other networks have access to Nine’s broadcasting to broadcast on their network? The ratings will be fun to see since all 3 will be showing the same thing

On Saturday night, Network 10, Nine, and the Seven Network will jointly present Australia Unites: Red Cross Flood Appeal to help the people and communities who have suffered from the devastating floods across Queensland and New South Wales.
100% of the funds raised during the Telethon will go to people affected by the floods.
The hosting ensemble will include 10’s Carrie Bickmore, Dr Chris Brown, Amanda Keller and Osher Günsberg, Channel 9’s Scott Cam, Sylvia Jeffreys, Peter Overton, Ben Fordham and Richard Wilkins , and Channel 7’s Natalie Barr, David Koch, Sonia Kruger and Mark Ferguson.
Australian music greats will perform to raise money on the night, including Baker Boy, Budjerah, Casey Donovan, Delta Goodrem, Fijian Heroes, Gang of Youths, Genesis Owusu, Guy Sebastian, Hunters & Collectors, John Williamson, Jon Stevens, Kasey Chambers, Kate Miller-Heidke, Missy Higgins, Ruel, Sheppard, The Living End, Tones And I , The Wiggles, and Vanessa Amorosi.
Familiar faces hosting from Red Cross call centres around the country will include 10’s Narelda Jacobs, Sandra Sully and Sarah Harris, Channel 9’s Eddie McGuire, Brooke Boney and Tim Davies, along with a special appearance from Hamish Blake and Andy Lee, and Channel 7’s Rebecca Maddern, Sharyn Ghidella and Manu Feildel, along with a special appearance from Kylie Gillies.
Viewers will have the chance to donate and speak with some of biggest names in the country, including Magda Szubanski , Dave Hughes, NRL legend Johnathan Thurston, Shane Webcke, Rob Mills, Cody Simpson, Shannon Noll, Jock Zonfrillo, Alex Cullen, Catriona Rowntree, I’m A Celebrity’s David Subritzky, Melissa Leong, Jane Bunn, Debra Lawrence, Home and Away’s James Stewart, Ada Nicodemou and Georgie Parker, Grant Denyer, Dami Im, Karen Martini, and Melissa King from Better Homes and Gardens. Abbie Chatfield, Poh Ling Yeow, Jelena Dokic, The Living Room’s Barry Du Bois, Kerry and Johnny from Married At First Sight , and The Block’s Jimmy and Tam.
Renee Bargh, Daniel Doody, and Larry Emdur will host special coverage from flood devastated Brunswick Heads, in northern New South Wales, along with special guests Mick Fanning, Bridie Carter, and courageous volunteers who have been helping out selflessly after the floods.
Presenting inspiring stories from the flood-affected regions and evacuation centre heroes will be Lisa Wilkinson, Mark Ferguson, and Karl Stefanovic.
Kym Pfitzner, Australian Red Cross CEO, said: “Red Cross is delighted and grateful to join with the major TV networks to raise money for flood-affected areas. We have all seen the enormity of the flood damage across large parts of New South Wales and Queensland, and these communities now face a long and tough road to recovery.
“Everyone coming together during this telethon will help Australian Red Cross provide financial assistance to people at a time when they really need it.
“We can only give out what we raise, so we ask everyone to dig deep and really come together to support the people who have lost so much.”
Whenever disaster strikes, Australian Red Cross works side by side with organisations such as the St Vincent de Paul Society, The Salvation Army, Lifeline, and GIVIT to get help to where it’s needed most. They do an incredible job and the Red Cross is grateful to work alongside all of them.
So far, 468 Red Cross emergency response team members and volunteers have provided support in 49 evacuation centres – and donations help to make that support possible.
Apart from the Telethon, Australian Red Cross has already launched a flood appeal. You can donate to it now at redcross.org.au/floodsappeal or by calling 1800 733 276.
Tomorrow night’s Telethon will also be highlighting the great work from organisations such as the Foodbank, Rotary, Good Food 360, Koori Mail Flood Appeal, and Rural Aid.

A very big lineup of personalities there.
I guess that Bec Maddern will appear on 9 again after leaving the network in November 2021. Bec will more likely be in Melbourne studios.

I think you’ll find a lot of the “rival” talent will be on location and not all in nine studios.

Promos on Seven in Brisbane still showing 7:30 AEDT yet during the news they used a graphic with 6:30 local time. Can’t see why that can’t be used in the promos as well.

It’s just bloody slack. Anything live during daylight saving is treated the same.
Surely in Melbourne and Sydney they don’t have “AEDT” under the time, so clearly they need to make a new end board for Qld anyway so instead of adding “AEDT” just type “6.30”… same number of characters lol

That is the whole point of it, to make promo production more efficient by reducing handling because the single promo can be used across more markets.
Wonder if they’ll ever consider or try the American way.
