ACE & SRN stations are marked as “ARN Regional” and Resonate Regional Radio stations are “SCA”
Yes thats correct, I have just been listening to 5MU and news was being read by Mel Usher from FiveAA
Still appears extremely misleading.
this is the response I got back from Power FM here in Ballarat in response to the ARN regional website stating that Power FM Ballarat is /or will be taking will and woody :
We haven’t been given confirmation as to whether we’ll be taking Will and Woody just yet. We’ll keep you posted once we know
also 104.1 Territory FM - which is a community station licensed to CDU…
I’m hearing ARN might be launching The Edge on DAB+ radio in Darwin later this year.
I wonder if any other relays will make their way up here as-well?
Yes, an 80s or 90s station wouldn’t surprise me, to match the other metro DAB stations that ARN have.
Maybe MIX 104.9 80s and HOT 100 90s branded?
They may do the same for Hobart and GC (when it gets switched on), as well as their 80s, 90s and TikTok stations.
They might need to go ahead with the rebrand if they want to go in Hobart, given the community Edge Radio down there.
I can’t see them doing that just for Hobart DAB+ though.
Will probably means Hobart will miss out on that one.
But 7HO FM 80s and 7HO FM 90s, definitely.
That a good point. If they do launch Edge into Hobart, it will be after the rebrand.
won’t be the Edge for much longer anyway with the new rebrand and format.
Pardon my ignorance, are they rebranding Edge? Speaking of rebrands, I am interested to know if the ARN Regional stations will take on a new ‘looks’ to match their metro counterparts - anyone heard anything?
2ST are on the lookout for a new Southern Highlands morning announcer, in which Angela Walsh currently occupies the role.
Yes they will rebrand The Edge, the new brand will have a new line up and will be called CADA.
Thanks @TheChase - just read The Music Network’ story on it. Is there a meaning behind CADA?
With speculated changes for River 949, would that impact their Nine News 6pm simulcast?
What value is there for particularly a muscis station to hand over one hour of prime time to a simulcast of a TV news bulletin.
I suspect Nine pays them to carry it, and 1 hour per day of less music royalties to pay.
No doubt, but I can’t imagine ratings would be too high.
