According to this below ad from last Tuesday’s Herald Sun, the Coodabeen Champions will be relayed to 3BA, Gold Central Victoria & River 1467 at 4-6pm Fridays from March 11.

Now that River94.9 and KIIS97.3 are under the same ownership, I wonder if ARN will put a stop to River94.9’s “The 3PM Shut Up” hour of non-stop music?

ARN represents ACE radio stations in new partnership

Also Kyle and Jackie O have been added to Power FM Ballarat’s website.

K Rock and Bay are listed in the new ARN website…

and they have listed under the station shows that Power FM here in Ballarat takes will and woody. yet it’s not listed on Power FM Ballarat website. so is it an error on arn regional part, or is Power FM Ballarat taking it but hasn’t listed it yet

Capital, BOG and Ace stations are also on that list.

It’s a shame K&J haven’t been reinstated on Hot Tomato.

Was removed due to the increased need to omit content unsuitable for the family friendly format. That was now two owners ago, surely ARN want such a successful program heard as highlights post drive in Australia’s sixth largest market?

Could tentpole audience into Kahuna’s pre recorded night show.

Hot Tomato’s success is built on the fact that it’s 100% local, they take no syndicated shows.

Yet their KIIS branded joint venture with SCA (Mix106.3 Canberra) isn’t shown in the KIIS network stations or under ARN regional.

Hot 100 Darwin has changed it’s programming to include Galey, Emily Jade and Christo from 4:00pm, Will and Woody from 5, then Kyle and Jackie O from 7:00pm.

This has reduced local content to 4:00pm finish rather than the previous 5:00pm.

I don’t see how Galey, Emily Jade and Christo would be a good choice to air on the station at all?

Magic 105.9 here in the Spencer Gulf also has Will and Woody, followed by Kyle and Jackie O between 4-8pm.

Meanwhile 5AU has dropped the 5AA Leon Byner simulcast after 9am and replaced with more music.

Same in the Riverland, no Leon on 5RM and Will & Woody on Magic. Power FM still staying local which makes sense given the proximity to Adelaide, which is probably why 5MU never took Leons show

I think TOTH state and national news updates are still being sourced from FIVEaa?

Why would ARN take content from Nova Entertainment’s FIVEaa?

I’d assume they get it indirectly through a wider arrangement with Nine Radio’s syndication service, as there really isn’t any other option for an ‘AM’ style commercial bulletin.

I think they’d look more at the cost of replicating something in house than worrying about how they are a competitor.

FIVEaa produce the local news content for Nine Radio Syndication as Nine radio don’t have a local presence and FIVEaa is treated as the Adelaide station for national sales.

Grant Broadcasters therefore got the FIVEaa statewide bulletins through Nine Radio, and ARN are currently continuing that arrangement.
I would assume ARN would take these in house at some point in their ongoing integration. At the very least it would require some restructuring/shuffling of their newsrooms.

The bigger question is why NOVA’s Star 104.5 in Gosford is listed as an ARN Regional station on ARN’s website…

And the BOG stations… The stations that don’t stream at all, let alone on iHeart.

TRSN/ARN represent these stations for national sales.

Be good if that was made clearer - the site gives the impression that ARN owns those stations
