Presenters Announced for 2019 Aria Awards
A stellar list of headline presenters for the 33rd ARIA Awards to be broadcast by Nine on November 27 has been announced today.
The presenters will join the host, four-time ARIA Award winner and coach on The Voice, Guy Sebastian, to celebrate Australian musicâs night of nights from The Star Event Centre in Sydney.
The presenters include American Grammy nominee Khalid, Canadian pop star Carly Rae Jepsen, twin pop divas The Veronicas, ARIA Hall of Fame member Daryl Braithwaite, television personality Sophie Monk, wildlife warrior Robert Irwin, and Nine personalities Brooke Boney, Richard Wilkins and Karl Stefanovic.
The awards ceremony will feature live performances from international stars Halsey, Dua Lipa and Khalid.
They will be joined by a lineup of top Australian performers, including record breaker Tones and I, country star Morgan Evans, Guy Sebastian, 2019 ARIA Hall Of Fame inductees Human Nature, as well as multi-award nominees Hilltop Hoods, Thelma Plum and The Teskey Brothers.

News Corp reports U2 will present the ARIA award for Best Group crossing by video from Perthâs Optus Stadium, on the bandâs final night of Joshua Tree concert tour.
This would have been exciting news in 1984. 
Iâm looking forward to it this year. Great lineup of performers and presenters.
The ARIAâs just finished up on Nine (in Sydney), with Guy Sebastian closing the night with his song Choir.

I enjoyed it. The whole vibe and production in the room was lacking something but overall it was entertaining.

Just finished watching the telecast here in Adelaide.
I guess a small upset is Choir beating Dance Monkey to win Song of the Year. Both are great tracks though.
Great line-up, great production. Graphics look bulky (reminds me of National Nine News of 2006-2008 which can be seen in another thread on this forum). Also there was no âIn Memoriamâ segment this year.
I also notice that The Star Event Theatre was only around 90% full, there were dozens of empty seats.
Also according to SMH:
Tones and Iâs third award resulted in the nightâs major gaffe. The presenters were handed the wrong envelope and mistakenly announced Paul Kelly as the winner of best independent release before Watson was eventually given the award.
Only the snippet of Tones and I accepting best independent release was shown on TV.

I saw more of it this morning and they were wearing black at the ARIAs and white at the AMAs. I wonder if they spun in the other direction too.

I caught up with this on the weekend. Guy Sebastian was a great host and Iâd be happy to see him do it again.
I think the Dance award won by RĂŒfĂŒs Du Sol and Adult Contemporary won by Paul Kelly should have been in the main show. They were accepted through a prerecorded acceptance speech so maybe they were unavailable due to touring. If thatâs the case then thatâs fair enough.
Generally, it was a good show. The Aussie and overseas performers were great and relevant. Maybe the U2/ Richard Wilkins chat/presentation was a bit last century but anywayâŠthey must have been trying to get Nineâs core audience of over 50s to watch. 
Most of the presenters were good although those Peking Duk/Agro bits looked like a car crash. Iâm sure they were under the influence. Were they just taking the piss or were they really annoyed about being teamed up with him? I couldnât tell. 
And why the hell was Sophie Monk up there presenting twice? The first time with Robert Irwin and the snake was funny. The second time present the Country music award was a WTF moment which even she acknowledged and it was a flop.
There was one award which I believe shouldnât be in the broadcast and that was Teacher of the Year. Maybe they should present that elsewhere. Maybe on another night of awards or when the nominations are announced as a warm up to the awards.
Yeah, just shuffle more awards off to some luncheon with chip & dip, apple juice and instant coffee as the refreshments.
Yeah, teachers should be showing a good example and not partake in any of those frothies from the eskies.
