AM Coverage Maps

This is a great find… the ABA’s AM assignment maps from 1992. One page for each AM frequency showing all stations and their coverage:

If you haven’t heard of it already, you might also be interested in fmscan.org, which has the same thing but for current data and in an interactive format.

To get to this, on the front page, press AM, frequency list, single frequency then ‘OK’.

Here’s 531 kHz for example:

You can do the same for FM also.

Unfortunately not working @dutymainttech

“ This… is kind of awkward.

We can’t find the page you requested. (Error 404)

This page might have been removed, had its name changed, or be temporarily unavailable. Please check that the Web site address is spelled correctly.”

iiNet have canned their free web hosting hence those coverage maps disappearing. I will have a go at setting up an AWS S3 free tier storage for them and post the links here if I succeed.

Thank you! I did enjoy their convenience.

Here are the URL’s for those coverage maps in AWS S3:

As you may be aware, the Willoughby tower is now gone so those FM’s are only historic now.

The TV field strengths are for the old analogue’s so the DTV will be a quarter those and again only relevant if the antenna did not change during the original DTV rollout or 700Mhz restack.
