When a station converts to FM, the AM frequency normally stays on air for 30 days then itâs switched off.

Those are some good catches. Nearly the same as what I get here most days, just on the opposite side of the state. Pretty impressive on how far Loxtonâs commercial FMs get out compared to Mildura, considering most of them are running at a lower power level, have a lower antenna height and not even in the strongest direction.

Drove Bendigo to Albury the VERY long way today (via Yea, Mansfield, Bright and Mount Beauty).
Didnât do a full band scan, only DX of sorts I noticed were the NSW Riverina ABCs near Mansfield.

Some North East VIC / Border observations
Went for a drive up to Momument Hill Albury and out to Corowa today
Corowa 94.9 HPON not on air.
Those Falls Creek SCA relays get out a long way, as do those 3NE (Star FM) Mt Hotham 89.3 and Mt Buffalo 99.1. Hit 100.5 was mixing with ABC Local Griffith out that way.
Those Star relays also appear to have lost their RDS too. I did see 99.1 still has a stereo pilot, not sure if full stereo sound though. Not sure about 89.3 though.
And the odd one for me, 3PNN (ABC News) 107.7 Shepparton has a stereo pilot! First time Iâve seen a PNN station with that. Pic below

Interesting log. Good to read that Lake Cowal and Lake Cargelligo are finally on air. I think thereâs also meant to be a 90.9 from Lake Cowal.
Iâll be passing through Parkes on the way back from Broken Hill so may swing by that lookout to compare results.
Also note that thereâs no 89.5 Peak Hill in your log. They were having a brouhaha a while ago- perhaps itâs no longer on air. Add that to the community radio casualty list if so.

Last time I was out Dubbo way, last year, I donât think Peak Hill was on air then either, as I did a side trip down that way and I donât recall it being on air then either. Iâll check again this morning before I leave.
Edit: No Peak Hill 89.5 this morning either.
