It had quite a run. The start of kid’s games shows being filmed at BTQ7 from 1985.
Was that filmed in Brisbane too?
It sure was. I recall going there for a recording with my school in late 1985. Strangely, the first air date for that episode was Christmas Day that year!
Yes mate the Channel Seven version of Now You See It was filmed at the Channel Seven Studios in Brisbane.
I was so impressed with the Now You See It set looking like it was in a spaceship. I was only 5 when it first debuted and 5-year-old me genuinely thought it was filmed in a spaceship and not at Channel 7 in Brisbane, lol.

I know Power Rangers and Disney Adventures were broadcast around this time.

You had Blockbusters which was hosted by Micheal Pope, That was during that time
Don’t think I remember that one.
Here is an episode. Micheal Pope is the Warm up guy for Tipping Point at the moment. I went to a recording and he mention about asking about who the best 90’s Children Game Show Hosts and I quickly said James Sherry. He gave a frown on his face.
Michael Pope has actually had a long history being the warm-up man for various Aussie TV shows. He’s also had his own podcast: “An Audience With The Pope”
At the time of the Now You See It launch, my family lived at Goondiwindi and there was a girl in year 6 that went on it. I think she was beaten. I remember she wore the Now You See It t-shirt to school quite a bit afterwards

Back when Goondiwindi was just in range to receive DDQ 10,4,5A if I’m not mistaken? They always used students from the same school each episode, mostly from Brisbane. a long way to come for a school for a taping?

Yes. Wombat being the first one they produced for the network in the early 80’s and then gradually went further national through regional stations taking the place of Shirl’s Neighbourhood for some Seven Net stations. Now You See it came second from memory in 85 then Rewind (4.30pm kid’s current affairs Friday’s from 1987). Super Saturday Show (then Sunday’s) from 1989. Saturday Disney in 1990 along with Agro’s Cartoon Connection. From then on in, all the quiz type show’s for kid’s for much of the 90’s. Studio One was also busy with Family Feud from late 1989. It got mothballed with the start of digital widescreen in around 2002 as they didn’t want to spend the funds to upgrade and never changed, although there wasn’t much production for 5 years previous,

Production started to end towards the Late 90s. Saturday Disney was moved to Sydney around 1999? Sad really, as Nine and Ten kept their kids units based in Brisbane for at least another 20 years.
From my assessment the Seven Network stations output throughout the late 80s/90s. Excluding local news.
Adelaide = Preschool entertainment / game shows
Brisbane = Children’s content / game shows
Sydney = National News Content / drama based productions
Melbourne = National Sports Content / comedy and variety programmes
