Crows fans must be going down as the worst supporters in the competition. What a complete disgrace booing a guy out for calling out a homophobic slur. If you are a crows supporter I hope you are embarrassed by this.

Making want the pies to win, which I can’t believe is actually happening

They are not only being an embarrassment and disgrace to their club, but also to a state. I think I speak for a lot fellow SA members when I say that these people do not represent our state and it’s long history of equality.

Adelaide will now host the loser of Saturday’s GWS vs Hawthorn elimination final next Friday night; Collingwood will have a week off.

The Pies are now 4-0 against the Crows in finals, including two in Adelaide (AAMI Stadium, 2008 and Adelaide Oval this year), and two at the MCG (2002 and 2009).

Pies has become the first fourth seed to upset one seed since 2019.

Guess which team is the fourth seed back then? Pies!

(Other than that, a one-goal fourth quarter in a finals game? Really?)

If Cats or Lions win, I would assume they will have the Friday night prelim while Collingwood will probably host the Saturday Twlight Prelim at the MCG

The graphics on Seven say the match will be on Saturday afternoon.

In 2018, 2019, 2023, the first semifinal played first.

Now you can add 2025 to the list.

1967 was the last time we had an all-feline grand final at the MCG. We had one recently in 2020 but that was at The Gabba

Crows will have 2 extra days breaks vs Giants/Hawks next Friday Night. 8 day break v 6 days break

I feel if it wasn’t a Giants home game then it would have been a Friday night this week instead of the Saturday arvo.

TV commercial for finals.

The issues is clearly the crows culture again. It has never improved. Their handling of the Rankine situation created this. I just hope there is karma. I wanted them to win this year but I can’t stand this sort of toxic sportsmanship

So far so good, would be good to see them go out in straight sets after the appalling display from part of their fan base last night. It’s bad when I’m actually cheering for Collingwood!

Geelong have avenged their loss in last year’s preliminary final with a 38-point victory over Brisbane in the qualifying final, in front of 86,364 fans at the MCG.

There was controversy late in the second term when the Lions kicked consecutive goals within 30 seconds through a double free kick. According to the ABC News’ live blog:

(Umpires) picked out a free kick in the goalsquare on the other end of the ground after Mark O’Connor nudged Cam Rayner in the back, and Rayner goes to ground easily.

Rayner kicks the goal and then Zach Guthrie bumps him and Rayner flops again and is incredibly given ANOTHER free kick!

The Cats dominated the second half, kicking eight goals to four.

To be a sore winner for a moment - a 50 metre penalty should be the largest penalty in the game. Even if a free was there, sending the ball up the other end of the ground for a minor infraction is absurd. Turning the ball over costing Geelong a certain goal would be enough of a penalty.

If anything the result was to fire up Geelong even more, but this could have totally changed the dynamics of a closer match, and the offence certainly didn’t warrant that.
