What else would they air - also, it’s probably the biggest local story happening ATM.
Looks like they’ve abandoned their coverage now with the unfavourable scoreline- they aren’t taking the final quarter.
4BC in Brisbane doesn’t appear to be taking the call at the moment- did they cover any of the game earlier? (as I know they often simulcast 2GB).
They’ve been switching away during the quarter and half breaks to have the usual CCT banter and going back to 3AW for the opening bounce.
The guide on the 4BC website says “The Continuous Call Team with 3AW Football” is on right now.
4BC was on it earlier. Interesting that happy Brisbanites doesn’t factor into CCT programming decisions.
Oh that’s awkward.
Just because the Swans are getting smashed, does it mean 4BC listeners are missing out?
Maybe Nine Radio should’ve rested the CCT for today and completely taken the 3AW call… OR have 4BC take the 3AW call, leaving 2GB to go solo.
OR… just talk NRL which is what the show is meant to be about.
They should’ve just handed the 4BC audience over to the 3AW coverage, then talk about the NRL for Sydney listeners.
All they are doing in Brisbane is giving Triple M, and ABC a free kick.
Definitely shows that Brisbane listeners are an afterthought for Nine Radio. No surprise that 4BC has had the nickname of ‘4GB’ over the years…
And they wonder why people are turning off 4BC, even after they restore local programs.
They’re going back after the current commercial break apparently. But yes, I think taking the full 3AW coverage would have been a better idea. Plenty of time afterwards to get ready for tonight’s rugby league.
It makes you wonder - would they do the same if it was NRL State of Origin and QLD were winning?
