(After ACE Radio took over Magic, 2UE and 4BH)

2UE and 4BH were broadcasting AFL Nation coverage, so I imagine it will go to SEN stations in Sydney and Brisbane instead.

According to Herald Sun website, chief AFL writer Mark Robinson, who co-hosts Sunday Sport on 3AW with Jimmy Bartel and Daniel Harford, will join the station’s Friday night AFL coverage alongside Leigh Matthews, Matthew Lloyd and Tim Lane. Robinson will replace colleague Michael Warner, who is stepping away from radio to concentrate on his new investigations role with the newspaper.

Gees they do it good at 1116SEN.

I wish 1170SEN got that much attention.

The 2022 AAMI Community Series begins tonight when Carlton host Melbourne at Marvel Stadium. Every match will be broadcast on Triple M and AFL Nation, on analogue radio and AFL website and app.

In some markets, the AFL Nation broadcast on SEN this weekend will be affected by its coverage of the 1st cricket test between Pakistan and Australia, which starts on Friday.

According to Thursday’s Herald Sun, SEN will unveil former Melbourne captain Nathan Jones as the main voice for the station’s Friday night AFL broadcast this year, while Daisy Pearce and Jordan Lewis are set to scale back their radio commitments.

So he’ll be main PbP?

No, I think Gerard Whateley and Anthony Hudson will remain PbP commentators on Friday nights, but Nathan Jones will be the main expert alongside Gerard Healy.

I know, so saying “he’s the main voice” doesn’t make sense.

Triple M Melbourne and Adelaide will broadcast every match this round, but Triple M listeners in Perth will have to wait until Friday for their first match on radio.

What you predicted has been confirmed today with SEN/AFL Nation announcing their broadcast team for this season. Also joining the team are Luke Hodge, Nat Edwards (to present a Sunday edition of Crunch Time), Brenton Sanderson and Scott Cummings.

Meanwhile, Shaun Burgoyne and Lenny Hayes are this season’s new additions to Triple M Footy:

Shaun’s first match for Triple M will be Adelaide v Fremantle this Sunday.

Shaun Burgoyne and Luke Hodge will be kept busy each weekend with new radio commitments on top of their commentary roles with Seven.

Sunday, March 20
Hawthorn vs North Melbourne at the MCG
Kevin Bartlett, Matthew Richardson, Tony Shaw, Matt Granland and Jacqui Reed from midday.

This indicates that Sunday Sport on AW, hosted by Daniel Harford, Jimmy Bartel and formerly Mark Robinson, might be dropped with an extended preview for the Sunday afternoon game starting from 12pm.

Think it has more to do with the fact that Hawthorn v North Melbourne is a 1:10pm KO rather than 3:20pm (ie; when the Sunday afternoon game 3AW & Triple M usually covers begins).

Ahh yes, I forgot that this one starts at 1.10pm.
