For the second year in a row, the Christmas Pageant was held at Adelaide Oval due to the pandemic. This year the event was made for broadcast with 35,000 fans attending.
Last night’s telecast is now available to catch-up on 9Now. It will also be replayed on Christmas morning (December 25) at 6am.

Telecast was a mess, every year they have the same problems, both when it’s in its traditional format and this modified version inside Adelaide Oval.

I didn’t see the end, but just found out apparently they didn’t even show Father Christmas making his way to the stage and his message for the kids, instead just cut from him on his float to the James Bond movie? Crazy if that’s the case.

no he got off and went on stage etc, and it all ended.
After two years at Adelaide Oval due to COVID, the Christmas Pageant will return to the streets of Adelaide CBD on Saturday morning, November 12, just in time to celebrate the event’s 90th birthday.
The route is the same one from 2019.
Nine Adelaide will again broadcast the pageant live (details TBC).

Nine Adelaide will also broadcast the pageant live on 10.30am local time (11am AEDT) on Saturday 12 November. 9Now will also stream the pageant live nationally.
The performing line-up was finalised yesterday with the addition of Peter Combe and Rachael Leahcar.

Dates back to the days of John Martin’s and marketing behind the start of the Christmas shopping season.
