Lucy Worsley takes on the case of a forgotten Victorian serial killer who was never caught. Dubbed the Thames Torso Murderer, and operating at the same time as Jack the Ripper, this killer’s hallmark was to dismember the bodies of his female victims and scatter the body parts in and near London’s Thames. Now Lucy is investigating this historic cold case, re-examining leads that were followed and uncovering new ones.
Jesus why are they burying it on Friday when the 9pm Thursday slot is free? Who the hell is running this network’s scheduling???
There’s new shows shown on their multichannel while their main channel after 9pm from Tuesdays to Fridays are repeats galore. Have they forgotten iView exists? This is on top of repeats they have for the same shows during the day!!! I really thought their slate was packed this year but they are spreading it all so thin with small run eps of everything. Just such a shame!
That is the old schedule - there was a Twenty Twenty Six repeat on Thursday which obviously couldn’t air this week before the original episode on Friday. There is a repeat in the schedule for Thursday of next week.
Twenty Twenty Six swapped places with the Race Around the World repeat that was on Friday.
I suspect that the Race Around the World ratings for Sunday were under expectations and the Wednesday repeat is trying to increase awareness.

After Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Inspector Donny “Fitz” Fitzpatrick digs too deeply into a local politician’s nefarious activity, he is exiled to work in Saint-Pierre et Miquelon (the French Territory nestled in the Atlantic Ocean just off the coast of Newfoundland). Fitz’s arrival disrupts the life of Deputy Chief Geneviève “Arch” Archambault, a Parisian transplant who is in Saint-Pierre for her own intriguing reasons. SAINT-PIERRE is a police procedural with French star Josephine Jobert (Death in Paradise) as Arch and Canadian star Allan Hawco (Republic of Doyle, Caught, Jack Ryan) as Fitz, and James Purefoy (Rome, Sex Education, Pennyworth) rounding out the stellar team.
As if by fate, these two seasoned officers — with very different policing skills and approaches — are forced together to solve unique and exciting crimes. Although the islands seem like a quaint tourist destination, the idyllic façade conceals the worst kind of criminal activity which tend to wash up on its beautiful shores. At first at odds and suspicious of each other, Arch and Fitz soon discover that they are better together… a veritable crime-fighting force.
Ep 1: After Fitz and the premier of Newfoundland have a very public altercation, Fitz is transferred out of St. John’s and onto the island of Saint-Pierre. But before he can even settle into his new surroundings and job, a woman’s body is discovered on a tiny island off the shores of Saint-Pierre, and he and his new partner, Arch, jump into action.
As bizarre as it is, their very first case together clearly demonstrates that Fitz and Arch make a great team. They would make an even better one if they could drop their guards a little and learn to trust the other.
So the ABC made the change but didn’t update the EPG so my Fetch box says it recorded two episodes of Twenty Twenty Six tonight but the recordings are the Race Around the World repeat.
Anyone who was unaware of the swap would have no idea what happening and would miss the show being recorded.

The former butterfly swimmer was so stung by his last media appearance – a grilling by 60 Minutes’ Tara Brown following his 2013 arrest for possession of methamphetamine, for which he received a one-year suspended jail sentence – that he initially said no to the two-part series Deep End: The Scott Miller Story.
But, since his 2024 release from prison, after serving more than three years for his role in a drug syndicate supplying crystal meth, or “ice”, Miller feels the time is right to “clear up a few misconceptions”.

Cooper and Fry investigate the disappearance of a teenage girl, Laura Kirkham, found in the woods within the Kirkham estate. Suspicion surrounds the wealthy family and their disgruntled employees.
As tales of release of the mysterious Black Dog fuel local rumours, the hit and run death of a key suspect leaves Cooper and Fry with a tangled web of lies to solve. And as Ben confronts his own past, Fry’s fears grow as her stalker makes it clear that she’s no longer safe in her own home.
