Nine Days In Afghanistan

In an ABC News Special, Correspondent Meghna Bali goes inside the Taliban’s Afghanistan to see what life is really like on the ground and meet the people who are learning to, once again, live under the regime of the Taliban.

Looks like the abc news studio has the same design as sky, lots of vacant space to traverse.

Tickets to next Monday’s Australia Day Live concert are now fully exhausted. The concert telecast will run for two hours from 7.30pm.

The line up has also been announced, headlined by Kate Ceberano and Cody Simpson.

To bring her vision to life, Amanda ropes in her DIY loving dad to help build a bespoke 4 poster bed whilst Alan learns to kick back like the Italians do, with a lesson in the art of doing nothing.

There’s a last-minute panic for Amanda when she discovers Scott’s never wallpapered before - could her dreams be in tatters?

The multi award-winning much-loved crime drama Professor T starring Ben Miller, Frances de la Tour and Juliet Stevenson is back for a third season. The Professor is in jail and must find a way to get his old life and job back.

This series starts with Professor T in jail awaiting trial. As the Professor struggles to get his old life and job back, he is helped by Dan and Lisa who again rely on his brilliant criminal insight and analysis to solve some tricky and intriguing crimes.

This season the Professor also finds out what really happened the night his father died.

Elsewhere, The Turners await the final decision on May’s adoption and Colette returns to Poplar for a visit.

MIDSOMER MURDERS - Season 25 Episode 3

SATURDAY 14 FEBRUARY 8.30PM

Godley Manor, the lavish home of the privileged Bruce family in Midsomer’s Godley Buzzard, hosts an extravagant engagement party for Francesca “Frankie” Bruce and flashy bitcoin tycoon Brad Furnank.

The celebration is interrupted by Noah Conoboy – long-lost brother of Sir Alan Bruce who brings with him a gift: a bizarre cuckoo clock, bejewelled with green emeralds and gold beak.

That night, Brad returns to the house under cover of darkness and attempts to steal them. – only for the cuckoo to strike, its beak, lengthened with a sharpened gardening tool, jabbing straight into his eye. Three strikes later, Brad is dead at the bottom of the stairs.

As Covid cases rise, and deaths in care homes and hospitals increase, there is a growing urgency for advice on testing staff and residents who have been in contact with the virus.

As WHO and scientists continue to stress the importance of testing, Carrie and Boris host a baby shower at Chequers.

Finally, after slow implementation of other restrictions the Government introduces a lockdown.

Amanda and Alan’s dream of creating an open plan living and dining room is dented when they discover the main structural wall dividing the two spaces requires a much smaller arch than they anticipated.

For this final space, they agree to put their design differences to one side, but a disagreement over the shape of the arch threatens to divide them.

With both unwilling to compromise, Alan tries to put his foot down and makes it his mission to convince Amanda his idea is best.

More people are hospitalised and die as a result of Covid 19. Boris feels unwell and tests positive, meanwhile Mary Wakefield also falls ill and Dom decides to take his family to Durham to isolate.

The situation in care homes and hospitals continues to get worse as deaths rise. Dom and Mary recover from illness as the Department of Health tries to fix PPE supply issues.

Boris’ symptoms worsen and Carrie suggests he might need to go to hospital.

Many hands make light work so Amanda and Alan invite local friends Fabrizio, Maria Pia and Carlos over for a plastering party. But things soon get out of hand as a spillage nearly ruins their newly laid terrazzo floor.

With Alan’s help, Scott designs a sleek marble dining table and gives Alan and Amanda a lesson in making bespoke wall lights out of vintage Sicilian tiles.

The duo decide to divide and conquer on a shopping trip to the coastal city of Trapani before revealing their labour of love aka “Casa Alamanda” to their Sicilian family, throwing an emotional farewell party before they head home.

Professor T is finally up in court and he must decide whether to save himself or his former lover Christina.

Meanwhile a prison officer is found stabbed to death in the laundry room of the jail and there are no shortages of suspects, but one in particular seems intent on taking the blame.

The Professor faces a moral dilemma with echoes of his own situation - should the real perpetrator be exposed or should an innocent man who wants to take the blame be left to do so?

Party with purpose this Mardi Gras on the ABC.

Celebrate this year’s Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade with a special live broadcast event on Saturday 28 February at 7.30pm on ABC TV and ABC iview.

Returning to officiate proceedings are drag icon Courtney Act and ABCQueer’s Mon Schafter , alongside ABC’s Jeremy Fernandez and comedian Nath Valvo. They’ll be joined from the crowd by proud Noongar-Yamatji woman and LGBTQIA+ media personality Brooke Blurton, award winning celebrity chef Anna Polyviou and newly out and proud former AFL player Mitch Brown . The party will be covered from all angles, from the glitz, glamour and glitter to powerful uplifting stories from the community.

Latifa Tee will also be hosting triple j’s Mardi Gras party, bringing you the best queer anthems to soundtrack the big event*.*

Inspired by this year’s Mardi Gras theme, ECSTATICA, the night promises a dazzling display of inclusion as more than 12,000 participants light up Oxford Street in one of the world’s largest LGBTQIA+ celebrations.

Sharing that energy with audiences across the country, the ABC’s 2026 broadcast is focused on amplifying the pride, passion and artistry of the LGBTQIA+ community in a spectacular national showcase.

Mardi Gras co-host Mon Schafter said: “Mardi Gras is a celebration of community — its joy, power and resilience. It’s my favourite night of the year, and I can’t wait to get covered in glitter and be loud and proud. In the lead up to the parade, we’ll also be sharing a range of exciting queer stories and debates on ABCQueer and ABC Australia socials. More pride than you can poke a stick at.”
