Doc Martin Christmas Special
Monday 26 December 7.30pm
Christmas is coming to Portwenn as Martin Clunes returns for one last time in this Christmas treat, a one off festive special.
The Portwenn Platt is alive with festive cheer until Martin has the grotto closed down because Santa keeps scratching himself. Martin awaiting Leonard’s results says he cannot be Santa until they have the diagnosis.
Leonard wants to show ‘Doc the Grinch’, the magic of Christmas, so after a drink in the Crab he tries to deliver the Ellingham’s Christmas presents… down the chimney. Martin is outraged and tells him off, unaware James has witnessed it all. James decides to run away but Ruth bumps into him and persuades him to have breakfast given the journey to the North Pole is a long one.
Mrs Tishell fancies her chances with the Doc when she finds herself under the mistletoe after he notices her choking for a second time. Given its her last Christmas she has nothing to lose right? Wrong! Martin is repulsed by her advances, but as a result diagnoses her with a manageable condition and also discovers her prolapsed disc has healed, so she no longer has to wear her neck brace, but as unreasonable as it sounds, she cannot seem to remove it.
Leonard has an accident and seemingly happy to miss the Christmas parade, Leonard confides in Martin about the death of his wife and why he celebrates Christmas. He challenges Martin to do the same, so they head back to the village just in time to lead the parade, but not in Martin’s Lexus!
