I’d like to see a 90 year ident that celebrates the use of the Lissajous Curve over the year.
You’re in Luck, because I’m watching Rage I’ve recorded yesterday and I see Below the Logo is the Number 90.
That in itself has never been a reasonable excuse, as all an ident does is push all content out by 7-12 seconds (or more depending on its length) within the hour. Unless there’s an ad airing at :59m:30-59s which gets pushed into the next hour, it doesn’t affect the hourly blocks on non-program matter.
It’s really just an excuse to cut costs as they cost money to design/produce/manage. The longer a presentation package is used for, the cheaper it effectively becomes.

Last night’s Media Watch included a segment on an ABC promo about all the great shows available on iView. However, the promo put an extra s after Four in Four Corners.
Any mention at the up-fronts if the multichannels are being switched to HD? There was an article not long ago which mentioned changes to ABC News in 2025, but didn’t say what.

ABC have just shown a lineup.
The relaunch actually went live on Wednesday night (October 8). First signpost appeared before Hard Quiz
This signpost, I think, has a sort of a late 2000s-early 2010s feel.
