…what?
I think all the branding, logos and watermarks are awful now.
ABC TV The “TV” is too big in the logo and in the watermark on screen.
ABC TV Plus is just awful branding and means nothing to anyone. At least the logo is big and the “TV Plus” is small in the watermark.
ABC News The logo is too small and “News” too big, side by side as a watermark.
Even ABC Me is awful with the ABC logo too small and the “ME” too big.
Maybe ABC Kids is the best but the ABC logo needs to be bigger.
I just don’t quite get why their emphasis on “TV”. We already know it’s “TV”, I don’t quite see why it has to be pointed out to us. This isn’t the 1950s where “TV” was this new buzzword.
I agree. I still think there was nothing wrong with ABC1, ABC2, ABC3.
At the very least, all their logos should look similar.
Or the main channel should just be ABC.
Agreed, nothing wrong at all with ABC 1, 2 and 3. Certainly less confusing than the brands of the last few years.
The posts were approved at different times, hence why the “don’t be mistaken part” is supposed to be the second and not the 1st, just a heads up.
Glad the ABC have done with something their TV station branding, but this is a mess. Bring back ABC1, ABC2, ABC News 24 and ABC News Radio.
Is still called ABC NewsRadio.
Consistency must be hard - from the footer of NewsRadio’s webpage
The FAQ page hasn’t been touched either
Last time I listened (which was admittedly years ago as I live overseas), they referred to themselves on air as ABC News Radio, but elsewhere it’s a hot mess.
Yes, they are called ABC News Radio. They were meant to be called ABC News on the Radio, but they realised that was a clusterfuck and reverted to the old name.
Such a mess of logos everywhere. They should use these logos for their channels everywhere from watermark to promos:
How has no one noticed the 80s ABC indent that aired at 8:30?
Was it part of the actual show or actually from the presentation slot?
