Am I the only one who isn’t a fan of “ABC TV Plus”? It sounds like a catchup service or something online that compliments TV, it doesn’t sound like a good multichannel name.
No, I have already said I don’t like it and many others have also done so in this thread.
just go back to calling it ABC2. Or as it seems that they have an aversion to using numbers in their channel names, spell it out as “ABC Too” as a twist
Based on all
The comments I saw here, tV Tonight and the Sydney morning herald FB page - NO ONE thinks it’s a good name
ABC would be wise to rethink it
ABC-D?
Maybe they could use colours? ABC Blue? ABC Red? Nah, too political. ABC Gold?
ABC TV and ABC TV2?
I must be the only one who doesn’t mind ABC plus
It’s not ABC plus. It’s ABC TV Plus.
New logo for ABC main channel. Seems to be scheduled to take effect from 1 January along with the introduction of ABC TV Plus
ABC TV Plus for comparison
Had a feeling that this was going to happen to the main channel too. The logo and the word TV should be stacked, as it is for TV Plus.
Although, I’d rather they had used the font they used for “tv” online.
It would have been a better match for ABC iview.
I works both ways. However, the iview logo is quite often seen in the horizontal form as well.
It just looks better stacked though.
interesting route for the ABC. While 7 have been making their logos smaller, ABC opts to make there’s bigger. Then again, ABC Comedy’s logo has been quite large.
OzTAM started using ABC TV and ABC TV Plus in their program reporting today - strange day to start.
Nasty. TV+iview underneath the logo looks much better and is much more suited to a reality where the platform you access the content isn’t important, what matters is a trusted and recognisable logo.
‘iview’ shouldn’t be seen without the ABC logo.
I agree. They should be showing the stacked logos side by side.
LCN name changes:
2/21: ABC TV
20: ABCTV HD
22: ABCKids/TVPlus
The stacked version of the logo looks good in the watermark but I think it would look better if the “TV” was smaller.
Now can we have the ABC NEWS logo stacked too?
