Yep - I think she will co-host it with Greg from Melbourne, similar to how Fran Kelly joined Greg from Sydney during the 2022 election.

He is such a snoozefest. PK was actually not too bad on arvo briefing, she did hold both sides to account.

Ever since the changeover to just 3 daytime presenters, 9-12, 12-4, 5-7.30 (8), in the middle of last year, Ros Childs only does Mon-Th afternoons because it is a 4 hour session now. Kath is the nominated presenter for Friday afternoons and she usually does it, although sometimes missing because she is filling in for someone else, like each day this week for Joe O’Brien’s late afternoons.
So the schedule is: Mornings Mon-Wed, Gemma ; Afternoons Mon-Th, Ros; Late Afternoons Mon-Fri, Joe O’Brien. Then it becomes a dog’s breakfast, particularly since Dan, the nominated presenter for Th/Fri mornings has mostly been missing, presenting only 7 of the last 26 mornings he was scheduled for in the last 3 months (13 weeks).
Breakdown for those 13 weeks:
Th Morning: Lorna 5, Kath 3, Dan 3, others 2
Fri Morning: Lorna 7, Dan 4, Others 2
Fri Afternoon: Kath 7, Ruby 3, Others 3

Kathryn Robinson (Thursday) and Lorna Dunkley (Friday) will be filling in for Dan Bourchier on mornings
Kathryn will also be presenting Friday’s afternoon shift.
Saturday October 19 and Sunday October 20
Ruby Cornish will be filling in for Dan Bourchier on the daytime bulletins.

Not sure if this a new thing, or it’s been noted here, but there is now a live news update at 6am on weekends, presented by Jessica Rendall.

Is it just a quick update like the update before Insiders? Or is it a longer bulletin? I don’t understand why they don’t just implement a half-hour bulletin at 6am on weekends. So many of us are early risers particularly during the warmer months when the sun is up at 6am.
