With The Drum being axed, it also means the return of the 11pm bulletin (Presented from Perth). The simulcast of 7.30 (was on late last year) has also been removed, with a repeat now airing at 10:30pm.

Some technical issues on the news channel this afternoon. They had to switch over to a National Press Club replay just after 5.50pm AEDT before resuming at 7pm.

I know that The World This Week is pre-recorded, however I think the program is live, as Yvonne Young is a regular fill in, who also does the live bulletins before and after The World. Also has some live crosses and interviews I think.

Dan Bourchier, who is meant to be covering Thursday-Friday mornings, and weekend day shift, appears to be on leave, meaning that Lorna is covering those shifts.

IMO they should give Lorna a permanent shift on the NC. Very good presenter, especially in comparison to others.
