It would have been the City of Sydneyâs own archive recordings, so they probably said sydney.com or something on them. The footage was 25fps, probably recorded from the web/international feed.
So far so good by ABC. Sad thereâs no crowd.
Thatâs the watermark for ABCâs Asia-Pacific TV service.
They probably need to differentiate it between ABC America, being online and worldwideâŚ

Iâm not getting any of that.
Commercial TV donât want it and never did live coverage all night like the ABC are with the music. Theyâve improved a lot over the years.

The ABC has done a good job in recent years. From 2 separate shows on either 9 or 10 to one big 4 hour television event on the ABC has shown how much the coverage has changed.
Nine had the rights between 1996-2005, 2009-12 and 10 had the rights from 2006-08. ABC has been the current rights holders since 2013.
Feel like over the past few years, the ABC has done a really good job making NYE âtheirâ night (if that makes sense) in a way other networks which have shown the Sydney fireworks werenât able to do.
Reckon thatâs largely due to the annual concert (in the case of this year, concerts) they broadcast - itâs just the perfect thing to put on and ring in the new year with
