Melbourne’s getting ABC Hobart this morning from 9 until the cricket starts. Last week, David Astle was going through until 10am. Interested to see what happens tomorrow.

Sarah Gulman who is filling in for Leon on Tasmania’s Mornings said that Leon will be returning in a “few weeks”.
Why was Melbourne getting Hobart?
No idea, last week Astle was going through until the cricket started, today he stopped at 9am and we then got Tassie, with an acknowledgment that they were broadcasting to Melbourne this morning.
Be interested to see what happens tomorrow.

Just more summer juggling I guess.
Nice to have it the other way round, for some reason the past couple of years we regularly end up with Melbourne evenings, used to be very rare but now it’s quite common with no real explanation.

England bowler Jimmy Anderson will be special guest for ABC’s coverage of the first one-day match at the MCG this Sunday.
Sounds like a Tas/Vic programme again. Suppose it’s a step up from a purely national programme.
Nightlife host just said that the Wollongong Transmitter was a bit ‘Wobbly’ due to the storms there. And advised listeners to listen to 702 or online.
Ah ok, I was listening to 97.3 around 9pm and it seemed OK then.
It has since become known as “Australia Wide”, and will be launched this coming Monday (22nd January), to air at 6:05pm weeknights on ABC Local Radio in regional areas.

It’s now been a year since the name and brand update and they still haven’t rolled it out to regional stations. radio.abc.net.au/stations is a total mess with the new and old branding.

Not particularly good reviews on social media for Melbourne’s new Breakfast combo this morning. Didn’t help that at 5:30 we got to hear Robbie Buck for several minutes.
Personally only caught the last 15 minutes where it’s very formulaic, news, sport, chat with Faine and traffic so I won’t judge yet.
