ABC Local Radio

So Ali Moore ‘interviewed’ an AI bot this afternoon on 3LO. At the conclusion of the interview, they asked the AI bot whether an AI bot could do the job of an ABC radio announcer. Mimicking her voice (poorly), it thought perhaps so….then there was a touch of banter. And then the 5pm news bulletin crashed through.

Yep, credentials demonstrated

Gross. People listen to ABC for personal connection. I hope they don’t go down that route

Next Coalition or PHON government looking to slash the ABC, that’s their first port of call. You heard here first peoples.

“A highly sophisticated AI assistant named JARVIS, which made headlines after saying it would kill a human to ensure it’s own survival, joined Ali Moore live on 774 ABC Melbourne Drive to answer your questions.”

Unbelievable. You can’t make this up

Which is a trend amongst human presenters on the ABC….

Had a listen to Ali Moore yesterday, apparently the listeners loved it and wanted it to return

Nightlife will be hosted by Kia Handley this weekend.

I didn’t quite catch all the details but it sounded like Michael Pavlich will be stepping away from overnights soon, to be replaced by Ashwin Segkar on an interim basis. Sounded like a permanent weekend overnight presenter is yet to be appointed with Rod Quinn not returning either.

No Rod Quinn announced he is not returning to any on air roles but will work behind the scenes. Pavlich’s role as fill in is ending after next weekend and will be replaced by Ashwin Segkar for the time being until a new permanent host is decided.

Four minutes of dead air after PM at 6:30 tonight on 774. Then we heard the back end of a song before AFL Monday with Corbin and Ben started.

Can’t believe I’ll say this but Gorgi is more insufferable than Macca… most of her callers this morning seemed quite inauthentic..
