Monday’s rating of 1,070,000 was down 120,000 on last week for the lowest rated Monday episode of the 2025 survey.
It looks like a cheap sticker. Having half of the show on the Melbourne Cup was completely unnecessary.
No different to when Today Tonight would broadcast from there every year? They would do a lot of coverage?
Sure and I would have the same criitism if them as well.
But in what can only be seen as a naked and somewhat hypocritical cash grab, ACA subsequently packaged up an “extended special” for Nine’s paid subscription service Stan, promoting it on social media with the promise of “Ally Langdon going deeper with Bonnie Blue”.
The “special” carried an MA15+ rating, prompting one Nine insider to label it “OnlyStans”.
We’re reliably told that, apart from the decision to leave some naughty words un-beeped, the content in the Stan special wasn’t terribly different to the material aired on the free-to-air program.
So why didn’t Nine simply air the adults-only Bonnie Blue out-takes at a later hour on its free-to-air channel, and allow its everyday viewers to “see the things that are happening in the world”?
Because hate = clicks, and clicks = money. For Nine to beat its chest and pretend that its Bonnie Blue interview was some kind of valuable community service is laughable.
Saturday 15 November
Ally Langdon presenting tonight.
Due to Deb presenting on 9 news
Would be funny if Deb still pre recorded earlier in the week & also presented Sydney news tonight.
Peter Overton should probably be back soon. I prefer Deborah hosting instead of Georgie.
I would suggest the fall Peter had recently would have him finished now for 2025.
He’s already been off about a month already?
He only had the fall just over a week or so ago.
I’m sure Georgie had been filling in prior to a week ago.
An article published last Sunday has Jessica Rowe quoted as saying Peter “will be absent from Nine News for some time”.
A Current Affair ran a story about Alfie the German Sheppard, but didn’t make any reference to the claims in the article below. Nine, however, were pretty quick on the “Brisbane family’s dog stolen in brazen Ute theft”
I’m not suggesting the claims were true, but they didnt even allude to the fact the police were still investigating, just that Nathan McKeown had been charged
Same for the Today Show team. They ran this story yesterday and even had the suspect on the air.
I wonder if Media Watch will pick up on it
