During the broadcast last night, Tracy mentioned something about her seeing her horses next week - so it might be safe to assume she’s staying in London this week.
What do you reckon makes the likes of somewhat credible reporters join ACA and become a teller of trash stories? I’m looking at you Hannah Sinclair.
Big bucks.
A regular paying job in the industry they want to work in?
It’s a great show and viewers love it. If you don’t like it don’t watch.
lol. K.
I feel like the prospect of national exposure might be attractive for the reporters.
Sunday Telegraph speculating that the ACA race is down to 2 potential replacement for Tracy. Sarah Abo and Deb Knight. Probably explains recent increases in exposure for Sarah.
Not sure about Sarah. She’d never even presented on ACA before has she?
Perhaps Sarah on Friday/Saturday?
Deb is the pick of the 2.
Sarah Abo…. I’m assuming presentation would move to Melbourne?
If 9 go with Sarah, 7 should pounce on the opportunity to bring back Today Tonight or similar to 7.00pm while ACA is vulnerable.
Yeah this could work. Sarah could still do some 60 minutes stories.
Deb is the best option!
Yes, timing would be perfect. But Seven is still strongly committed to Home & Away.
It’s one of those things… Sarah would clearly be popular in the Melbourne market, where Deb is highly regarded in Sydney.
Nine is currently struggling down south… so Sarah might be a possibility.
I would use this opportunity to launch a Sunday program.
Monday - Friday: Deborah Knight
Saturday - Sunday: Sarah Abo
Air the Sunday program at 5:30pm before the News so Nine can still use 7pm for their big programs.
In NRL states air the Sunday edition on 9Gem during the NRL season.
I’ve mentioned the solution previously. Package Home and Away as twice weekly for an hour. It already takes up the 7.30 hour on Thursdays for many weeks of the year. And often Wednesday’s 7.30 hour is full of repeat factuals. If they need to get up their drama quota, air the odd extra ep on a Tuesday or for 90mins.
They could have Sarah Abo on weeknights and Deborah Knight on weekends, with a identical set built in Melbourne. There is enough room next to the news set.
I like Deb but I think this is the perfect opportunity to excel Sarah’s career by giving her the host role.
Sarah’s only in her mid 30s so can stay in the role much longer than Deb could.
