Part 1: Thursday 14 November 11:45 PM
Part 2: Wednesday 20 November 11:40 PM
In 2021, a birthday in a sleepy resort ended in murder. Within hours, recordings of the aftermath and a shocking confession were shared online and the world was gripped by the story of Penny Jackson and her victim.
9Gem’s annual 007 marathon over summer begins on Sunday, airing a movie every night (earlier on Saturdays - classification and version depending). Starting of course with Dr No.
It always rates very well, some of the most watched m/c movies of the year and provides huge shares for the channel and network. Recently highlighted by Nine as a “success story” in TVT’s m/c survey. The franchise singlehandedly worth the MGM output. Looking at the first non-survey week, even if Seven were to have had a cricket test, it’s hard to see Nine not out in front with their main channel and m/c schedules, pretty solid has to be said.
It usually stops after Die Another Day, with rights possibly different for the more recent titles from Casino Royale (usually these air on the main channel), notably the most recent FTA premiere No Time To Die. Nine usually run an extended promo on-air as well for the marathon, could already be airing or over coming days. @TV.Cynic
9Gem running 36min behind tonight, due to the tennis over-run with Zverev’s match. Scheduled 8pm MASH ep wasn’t pre empted, Mr & Mrs Smith movie will now begin at presumably 9:06pm.
With Days of Our Lives airing as double episodes from next week - i wonder how far behind we are to the US? Are they “catching up” for fans, or just used more as a filler? Or both.
They are just running out the episodes they have. Young and Restless is now completely gone from Nine. Days will follow - just a few months of episodes left.
Mrs. Sidhu (Meera Syal) is a caterer with a taste for solving mysteries. Her sleuthing turns into an unofficial partnership with dour DCI Burton (Craig Parkinson), who reluctantly accepts that together they make the perfect pairing to fight crime.
Y&R officially finished up a while ago. That is definitely done. DOOL had more episodes to play out so after Y&R finished, DOOL went to double episodes
So an end of an era for Nine and both Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless. So now more repeats for the daytime slots for 9Gem, like most multi-channels.
2013 for Days of our Lives but yeah, Nine got some cheap deal from Foxtel or Sony to fill a couple of hours on a multichannel with 6+ month old episodes.
