Very surprised CA have allowed this, given (at least the previous deal) rights saw archival exclusivity to Fox Cricket. Unless that’s changed or some loophole, maybe as it’s a FAST channel or curated by CA. And given the old Nine branding of domestic hosted matches, as no world feed or anything.
Is a FAST channel ![]()
It’s made by CA, already for a couple of years, and being shown on 7Plus. I’d say CA have the top-most archival rights to old stuff. Nothing that new or recent has been shown.

Interesting to see Surveillance Oz is getting a FAST channel, wonder what other (if any) factuals might appear. A series filmed a decade ago and run at random times, often as filler and on 7Plus before AFL live streaming rights.
Complements their programs from that unit over the past 20 years (some staples and still running), also on 7mate, 7Plus on-demand and FAST, such as Border Security, Forensic Investigators, Medical Emergency, The Force, Surf Patrol, RSPCA Animal Rescue, Crash Investigation Unit, The Zoo, Highway Patrol, Border Security: International, Beach Cops, Motorbike Cops.
The fast channels are a waste of bandwidth. Most of the channels have all the episodes as individual episodes uploaded to the platform where it is a better option for shows that have a plot.
I don’t think Seven sees it that way, considering the reported success of FAST globally. On demand content is understandably a more flexible way of watching a series, but linear appears to still have a very strong following. Every Australian network including the subscription providers continue to invest in it.
Yeah, I’ve rarely used them myself but there is a large audience chunk who like the lean back experience of dipping into a FAST channel and not having to pick an episode or show.
KESHET INTERNATIONAL & SEVEN NETWORK LAUNCH SECOND FAST CHANNEL:
TRUCKING HELL
Following the success of True Crime Files, single IP channel, Trucking Hell, to showcase Crackit TV factual entertainment docuseries Trucking Hell
Friday 19 December 2025 – Keshet International (KI) and the Seven Network are launching a second FAST channel dedicated to showcasing Crackit’s Trucking Hell on Australia’s premier free streaming platform, 7plus .
Titled Trucking Hell, this new FAST channel sees KI licensing and delivering nine seasons (159 hours) of Crackit TV’s Trucking Hell - an adrenaline-fueled “at work” factual entertainment series about heavy vehicle rescue - to the Seven Network for its streaming platform 7plus.
Trucking Hell takes viewers inside the high-stakes world of Crouch Recovery, a family-run heavy rescue operation that clears Britain’s biggest road disasters—fast—so the country keeps moving. Each episode follows the full recovery cycle, from the emergency call to the final clearance: rollovers, smash-ups, breakdowns, and tangled motorway blockages, tackled with an extraordinary fleet of super-heavy recovery vehicles and a crew of larger-than-life specialists. They work in punishing conditions—night, rain, wind, live traffic—with police, highways agencies and customers demanding immediate results. They might look like everyday blokes, but when a motorway becomes a danger zone, Crouch Recovery are the unsung heroes who go in, lift the impossible, and get Britain back on track.
Last December, KI and the Seven Network launched True Crime Files, a FAST channel on 7plus featuring true crime content produced predominantly by Woodcut Media - including the latest two seasons of the phenomenally successful World’s Most Evil Killers (S8 & S9: 40x60’), Jo Frost on Killer Kids (4x60’, produced with Nanny Jo Productions), and Murdered in the Line of Duty (3x60’) - together with Woodcut International. With a lineup of more than 50 FAST channels, 7plus is the fastest growing premium free streaming platform in Australia, with consumption +58% YOY. Live viewing is driving this growth, up 84% YOY, with On Demand consumption +30% YOY. 7plus now has 15.4 million verified registered users, with 1.4 million new user registrations secured in 2025.
Richard Henson , Director Distribution & Content Partnerships at Seven Network, says: “ FAST on 7plus has surged in 2025, with exceptional growth that reflects the platform’s commitment to premium content, simplicity of navigation and the value of free streaming. Streamed FAST channel minutes are now +68% YOY, with an average monthly audience of 618,000, up 18% YOY.”
Kelly Wright , KI’s MD of Distribution, says, “Australia’s VoD services and FAST channels are going from strength to strength, so we are excited to be cementing our partnership with 7plus to launch Trucking Hell, our second FAST channel together.”
Elaine Hackett, Founder, CEO and CCO**, Crackit TV** adds, “Having witnessed the success in the UK and globally for our Trucking Hell brand, we and our commissioning broadcaster in the UK, 5, are delighted that a FAST channel is being launched for fans of Trucking Hell in Australia.”
As worldwide distributor for all nine series of Crackit TV’s Trucking Hell (totalling 159 episodes produced to date), KI has licensed this factual entertainment docuseries to ProSieben and Discovery in Germany, Nelonen in Finland, TV2 in Hungary, Free TV in Israel, Sky in New Zealand, CBS Reality in Africa and Poland, and Viasat in the Nordics, CIS, CEE and sub-Saharan Africa. Trucking Hell is also one KI’s most successful AVOD title, with multiple deals signed with Tubi TV, Little Dot, Pluto TV, amongst others.
Is it just me or has 7plus increased their streams to 1080p for the BBL and Test match cricket? Or is my TV doing one hell of an upscaling
Something pretty funny, I just stumbled across while launching 7Plus. On the Homepage - It shows this:
The Chase: Seven News live coverage of local, national and international news, plus sport, finance and weather updates. Go to 7NEWS.com.au today for more live updates
Cap will be posted shortly
UPDATE: Here is the cap:
They could use the 2 months Shortland St is off air to catch up on 7Plus but I guess they have some deal where they have to stay 6 ish months behind.
I’d love to see some new Australian content on 7+ like the content Stan and others have had…. Bump, Colin from Accounts etc. I think that would really make it a great streaming app.
They do but it’s really cheap and nasty stuff like Watchdogs. ![]()
Oh? I’ve never seen that promoted.
When will 7Plus Premiere Season 2 of St. Denis Medical and The Hunting Party?
