7.30

… so just another normal day in the ABC news department …

The Australian has reported the ABC deleted a negative reference to 7.30 host Sarah Ferguson from an interview on Radio National.

On August 19, opposition communications spokeswoman Sarah Henderson appeared on Sally Sara’s radio program and discussed the recent incident with fired Four Corners journalist Mahmood Fazal, over concerns about the accuracy of his sources.

The conversation then turned to the credibility of the broadcaster in general, including a comments about then situation with respected journalist Ferguson.

The Australian reports that the comment about Ferguson was deleted from the audio.

The outlet said: “The ABC tried telling us the edit was made “based on legal advice”… Should we be surprised given we revealed earlier this year that Ferguson is so powerful – and protected – at the ABC, she dictated key parts of what eventually became managing director and editor-in-chief Hugh Marks’s personal response to criticism of her Four Corners series on Donald Trump?”

Sarah Ferguson interviewing Barnaby tonight. Get your popcorn ready.

EDIT: Barnaby is just shouting over Sarah like an uncouth maniac whenever she’s asking him something. He’s absolutely delusional and condescending.

ABC refuses to counsel Sarah Ferguson over undisclosed activist documentary work

Diary can reveal the ABC is sensationally refusing to “counsel” the 7.30 host in any way, even though she failed to disclose she was the “executive producer” of an anti-vivisection documentary for more than two years.

The ABC’s limp response comes despite the fact it now admits Ferguson “worked on the project” without permission even though it was bankrolled by politically charged activist groups that campaigned against the Coalition and in support of Labor and the Greens.

(ABC managing director Hugh Marks and editorial director Gavin Fang) took a series of questions about her involvement in the project on notice in June while being grilled by senator Sarah Henderson about the scandal at budget estimates.

After considering the questions for more than three months and waiting for their reply to be formally marked down as “overdue”, the ABC submitted its very carefully worded response to the Senate committee last week.

… there’s them that has it and them that don’t … some are a protected species …

Sarah Ferguson returns tonight.

Protected species exists in all workplaces. The amount of stuff I’ve seen over the years, some get executed, some can walk free.
