Reporter Tom Joyner is leaving 7.30 to become the next ABC Middle East correspondent.
When 7.30 return next year on 4 January Stan Grant will be presenting for the first 3 weeks.
Preliminary schedule after that is:
Laura Tingle will present two episodes 27 and 28 January.

What’s happening with 7:30 at the moment? Resolution looks very SD and the studio looks different?

Looks like it’s been coming out of Canberra this week. Not unusual given that’s where Laura Tingle is based, though I note she was presenting from the Sydney studio last week.
I don’t think we can read too much into it to be honest.

Monday 15 February - Leigh Sales attended the Victorian Government’s COVID-19 press conference this morning.
I wonder if she will stay in Melbourne and present the show here all this week, to avoid having to self-quarantine when she returns home to Sydney?
