The Australian reports an internal investigation by the ABC has cleared an episode of 7.30 of breaching the public broadcaster’s editorial guidelines. An ABC spokesman said its audience & consumer affairs department has concluded its investigation into Racing NSW’s complaint in November last year over The Final Race program on 7.30 in October, and “found no breach of ABC editorial standards in the report”. That report exposed instances of retired racehorses being shipped to abattoirs or knackeries to be killed.
