Here’s my idea for five years time when the Logies celebrate 75 years of Australian television.
Honour the rich history of the industry by presenting all Gold Logie Winners and Hall of Fame inductees together on stage.
Have all the presenters of the show be past Gold Logie winners.
There’s a good strong mix of stars who are still relevant and would make great presenters:
Sam Pang
Sonia Kruger
Larry Emdur
Tom Gleeson
Hamish Blake
Asher Keddie
Georgie Parker
Scott Cam

Another ongoing joke of the Logies is how far back the Travel Guides team sit, and takes them ages to gonto the stage. At least that tradition continues. Lol.

It wasn’t a clever joke and was just mean-spirited. The only people who would find it hilarious are people who don’t like her.

You’d get similar outrage if he mentioned Sarah Hanson-Young instead of Pauline Hanson. Albeit by a different crowd to the News24 presenters.
The remark by Shane Jacobson had no threat of violence towards Pauline Hanson and wasn’t sexist so it’s probably ok but I’d still prefer to have no politics mentioned at the Logies.

The Gold Logie winners have come from different genres from over the years. Drama. Variety. Current Affairs, Game shows. Reality TV.
Sam Pang’s win enters a new genre to the list - Sports Program.
Yes, i know that The Front Bar is more of a comedy entertainment program than a sports show, bit still… it can be technically labelled as a sport program.
Anyhoo, as others have said over the years. Australian Idol and Dancing With the Stars need to be put into the Reality category next year, rather than the Entertainment category.
And is it time to reinstall a Best Quiz Show category for next year? There’s enough shows to from a category. Like The Chase, Tipping Point, The 1% Club, The Floor (Season 2), Deal or No Deal, Millionaire Hot Seat, Hard Quiz, Mastermind, Shane Jacobson’s new show (if it airs), plus others? There is a market out there for thos award.
