Looks like she went a bit off script

It doesn’t matter. She deserves it

3 straight years for a Seven Network personality won a Gold Logie.

  • 2023: Sonia Kruger
  • 2024: Larry Emdur
  • 2025: Lynne McGranger

Won the gold but very little else this year. The gold Logie push at 7 in overdrive once again.

Overall a good ceremony.

ABC were the big winners of the night. Nine did well too.

Congrats to Lynne.

Can we have the same presenters presenting two awards, rather than one. They really dragged it out bringing out actors and presenters trying to be funny for Every. Single. Category.

Would have been for anyone that requested it I imagine the moment she won it was input. Not that hard to do on the fly, auto cue is essentially notepad in black and white and scrolls…
I don’t think it’s some conspiracy as she mentioned it wasn’t in there to start with

I was hoping Lynne was gonna do a funny speech after seeing her cheap seats appearance but she was like a deer in the headlights and like any actor needed a script

As I said - not entirely unexpected. Nine did it, so Seven doing it isn’t too far off the mark.

They shouldn’t really do it, but meh.

Lynne deserved it but interesting that in the three years that Seven has broadcasted the Logies, three Seven personalities have won the gold logie.. Hmm

Didn’t watch live this year so couldn’t comment as it happened.

People here are complaining about certain actors being better than others. You keep forgetting that even though the award categories are called “Best”, they really are popularity awards because viewers are voting for their favourite. The awards really need to go back to separate Most Popular and Outstanding categories.

We also need to widen the pool of nominees so it’s not just the network choices which are up for nomination.

It’s frustratingly bad that the acting awards are not being presented by fellow actors but people from reality/sports/entertainment shows. Same goes for the mashups in every other category too. The awards should be presented by people from the same genre.

To shorten the ceremony, the winners of some of these awards like Sport and News should just be mentioned going to an ad break and not have the winners on stage.

One or two musical guests is enough and they should be acts which have something to do with the past year in television.

The likely possibility is everyone watches Channel 7. That’s the No.1 network nationwide and that is the network that dominates Australia.

Either that or maybe Seven is rigging it to ensure their network’s personality wins (based on a Seven Network personality’s highest number of received votes for the Gold Logie win) when they are the broadcaster for the Logies.

What could be the more likely scenario out of all this? Outright strange.

You know the thing is rigged when The Voice wins “most popular” anything.

It’s as popular as ElCaptainCranky’s farts in an elevator.

Yes. This made no sense. Aaron Chen has more of a supporting role than Julia Zemiro does. They both should have been in supporting role categories.

Sorry I skipped reading the 200 posts, just wanted to say Seven consistently produce a far superior product to what Nine did. The voting and awards selection - I have no clue about, but all the winners were worthy to me and the production was again far pacier and less bloated than Nine ever did. Could have skipped Guy’s performance, but the rest was bang on, and great Hall of Fame indiction and In Memorial sections once again.

Sam was great as well at holding it all together, he’s becoming an excellent awards host, which is a skill in itself.

Then don’t watch it.

Sam pang put me to sleep with his jokes and boring humor but managed to wake up and catch the gold logie announcement/winner.

Predictions for 2026:

Channel 7 to rally behind Nat Barr as their Gold Nominee:celebrating her decades on Sunrise.

Kitty Flanagan and Todd Woodbridge to be nominated for Gold
