65th TV Week Logie Awards 2025

So Sonia and Lynne have both dressed in gold tonight. :face_with_peeking_eye:

Unsurprisingly Seven have elected not to live stream the logies (or at least the red carpet portion) on 7Plus for those outside of the AEST timezone.

With that news, apologies if I am behind with some of the stuff with any comments I make tonight, etc. Will do my best to keep up via the ABC blog.

For some reason Seven thought it appropriate to run a Voice promo during the Red Carpet.

Well that proves the person who was banging on about Karl not going to be there was wrong all along

I love seeing personalities from all the different networks on the one channel for one night only.

The Logies are an Australian institution.

100% - despite the many flaws that have come up in recent years, it is still nice to see the who’s who of TV all in the one room.

Great variety of stars being interviewed on the red carpet show.

Just a pity that the current custodians of it don’t seem to share that view and happy to run it into the ground

This is the 3rd year it’s been in Sydney.

Red carpet still going 10 minutes late - little chance they will finish on time.

Ceremony starts at 7:40pm

Even the pre recorded Red Carpet can’t finish on time.

And how drunk is Karl?

Obviously Adelaide’s 1/2 an hour behind - but thought this image I captured spoke volume’s of 2 of the men featured

Do they normally have an opening act or do they just go straight into the host jokes?

This is an instant fail… fancy opening a non music awards night waiting music. I’m all for performances but could’ve been later. Just start with the opening monologue. I’m only watching that part anyway.

If they just have a performance to open, could they just wheel out a tacky and kitch production number like the 70s or 80s.
