Great night but it dragged out a bit.

She was probably getting annoyed at the production/cameras, earlier showing Nat Barr (when Larry referenced Kylie Gillies) and then again just then at the end took forever to get the camera on her, she probably thought it was going to happen again. And that shot shows her in a crowded awkward spot. Perhaps they had difficulty locating her. But then zoomed in and focussed on her more. Larry also gave her quite the credit in his speech.
On a side note, it’d be nice for Gillies to get more recognition in the industry, a veteran and star, she’s rather underrated these days vs her colleagues and other industry peers. One wonders what her trajectory would’ve been had she stayed with Weekend Sunrise sport / Seven Sport from mid-2007 before TMS launched? She goes back to that current pack who started at ATN Epping in the 90s.

Finishing at 11:58pm est and getting just about every minute of that precious prime time share in for ratings, with the last 15min probably scoring the peak minute with everyone waiting for the gold. Late share and reach will be massive, you’d expect a landsline to Seven tonight, though Block should’ve done very well earlier too. Finished nearly 60min overtime from EPG and 43min later than what Seven told TVT they’d aim for, oh dear.
