Why is the news/public affairs award on so late?
It made more sense when scripted series and actor awards were just before the gold logie.
Wow. Ally Langdon. Did not expect that. Thought it would be Overton. Could the votes also mean the viewers also waking up with her on ‘TODAY’ before she took the ‘ACA’ gig.
Popularity contest again. Nothing to do with quality.

I just realized no Tony Martin tonight, Sam has been throwing to the presenters and getting even more jokes in.
It’s been very predictable tonight but a few… and is The Voice and Sunrise sponsoring the show this year?

No need to rush. They had an F bomb in a clip from Boy Swallows Universe and the prerecorded skit with the gold logie nominees.
Nice that Langdon gave nods to those that went before her and clearly the Willesee connection was at the core, a touching moment to her father in law, the great man. “Shit”, the most raw and honest we’ll ever see her.
Surprised though, echoing others, public vote for sure (which is also surprising as many don’t like her or apparently so before tonight anyway). Ouch for Overton and feel for Rowe and the others. Although it is nice not seeing the Logie go to a local nightly newsreader.

RFDS finally won a Logie award. And it happened half a day after it was announced that season 3 would commence filming soon in South Australia.

Highlights of the night for me is definitely Felix Cameron and Zac Bell.
Been my favourite Logies night in quite a few years.

Was Felix’s second win wrapped early, seemed to finish his speech abruptly with loud applause and rushed off stage? Although I guess he already got to say a lot earlier.
