I just think it sucks that he’s on TV 4 weeks a year and wins most popular personality. People like Ray and Sonia should win.

Yeah I was expecting Sonia Kruger to win tonight.
more of a disappointment was how manly of those up for awards from local dramas who weren’t there and then those that won and didn’t even pre record anything. probably an indicator of how much getting a logie is valued nowdays.
I think either Ray, Melissa Leong or Hamish would’ve been worthy winners. Sonia’s so overexposed it’s not even funny, Julia’s great but polarising to the audience (i.e. you either love her or hate her) and if Karl won Gold after all his dirty laundry you might as well chuck the whole thing in the bin.

The new nominations process is what ruined it this year. It was much better when the public nominated whoever we wanted rayher than the networks.
The wildcard Gold nominees were a lot more fun and add a lot more suspense to the evening.
I didn’t say it did.
