Na fuck that. They’re nominated. That’s the disrespectful part. They should be there. I get shit happens but there’s been a few not there. The date was announced months ago.

I think some of the older winners may not be there due to the risk of COVID which is totally acceptable, just send a video.

“In the old days” the winners would be known in all categories in advance. However, now in the popular categories, the winner wouldn’t be know until tonight so actors in that a category would potentially have to do a fake acceptance video or all be standing by live. No excuse for the outstanding categories though.

I think the sad fact is the Logies just aren’t the Oscars or the Emmys. Plus a lot of the nominees are off overseas working on other projects. Having said that though I don’t know why they don’t get everyone that is nominated to create a video message if there not there.

Overseas and even the AACTA awards do pre recorded acceptance… it’s better to be grateful than be a no show.

I agree but the problem is there really hasn’t been any fluff. They’re plowing through the awards at a steady pace. I’m not sure what else they can do to cut it down.
