60 Minutes

Like the Manson Family commune and cult?

look, all families are dysfunctional in some way.

I can hear the promos now: “Become part of the Today dysfunctional family.”

relatable tho!

Broadcast in 65 countries around the world, 60 Minutes is Australia’s favourite and most respected public affairs program.

Quick question; saw this on the Nine for Brands website - Are they referring to other international versions of 60Mins, or is the Australian version of 60 Minutes broadcast in 65 different countries?

They are referring to other international versions of 60 Minutes.

New 60 Minutes look this year?

Any return promos surfaced yet? They usually do these quite well

Yep. They’ve airing airing for roughly a week. Nothing too special. Just a small snippet of clips and the return date.

With Sunday Night no more, you’d think Nine would be promoting 60 Minutes as “Australia’s only commercial weekly public affairs program!” at every opportunity.

Has Charles Wooley been dropped? He doesn’t feature in the promo I just saw.

According to The Australian, Wooley chose to quietly depart 60 Minutes at the end of last year. However, he’ll still file occasional stories for the show as a freelancer

Doing away with the white theme, I hope.

I, for one, quite like(d) the whiter/brighter theme. Made it look classier and less bleak.

Felt a bit too soft for me. The black was more hard-hitting and serious, at least it looked that way anyway :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank God. Always loved the black look they had previously.

All-New 60 Minutes Returns

The Logies Hall of Fame-winning 60 MINUTES returns this Sunday, February 9, following Married at First Sight, for a new season of hard-hitting, incredible stories that matter.

FIRE FIGHT
Australia continues to endure a long, hot and tragic summer. Extreme conditions have contributed to extreme disasters. The worst, of course, has been the bushfires burning all over the country, many of which are still active. Despite the heroic efforts of thousands of brave men and women, lives have been lost and enormous amounts of property destroyed. Understandably, “Why?” is the first thing people want to know. “Can we stop it happening again?” is the next. In the premiere story of the 42nd season of 60 MINUTES, Tara Brown speaks with highly respected fire, climate and political experts to answer the fundamental questions Australians need answered.

WINDSORS AND LOSERS
It’s not quite disintegrating, but there’s little doubt the Royal Family is fraying at the edges. Bad enough is Prince Andrew being entangled in an ongoing sex scandal involving young women, but even more gob-smacking is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s daring – many say disrespectful – escape from the Firm. As Tom Steinfort reports from London, the shame of it is the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had promised so much in the way of positive PR for the Royals. Sticking to the fairytale script, they’d fallen in love, married in a castle, and produced a beautiful boy. But somehow it’s now all gone horribly askew.

Why do the reporters look so unnatural in that photo? The lighting and makeup do them no favours.
