And I agree too. Not my original intention to make it that long, and I am changing that.
Of course I’m annoyed at the Facebook stuff. You would be too if your page was blocked for a ruling that didn’t add up.
Also working on that. I did credit ABC for their Afghan footage, and 'm trying to use more of my own footage, as well as stock footage & videos from social media,
If you are making money from the pre-roll ads on YouTube I think you should be crediting the source of all of your footage, unless it is your own or sourced from a copyright-free outlet, such as the one you mentioned.
Some sources that do not have copyright restrictions, eg. US government agencies including NASA, still require the user to give a credit to the source.
Not really sure how critiquing could be counted as abuse.
I’d say it’s some valuable lessons for Leo if he wants to pursue this path as a career.
I get he’s still young and learning, but you don’t want to get a reputation as “the guy who rips off videos” or takes others copy etc. Reputations stick, is all I’ll say.
Nothing that has been pointed out in this thread has been unfair, in my opinion.
Cheers mate. I love being able to actually talk to people and get their ideas, something you wouldn’t get with any other network!
All I’m saying is I am 100% taking the crediting issue on board, and I couldn’t agree more with crediting the footage owners. But all I’m suggesting is that it’s getting repetitive.
