This wasn’t claimed or anything by the AFL/7?

Kind of. The longest part we played their vision and audio was after the final siren. Claimed, but it means ad revenue would go to them - video not taken down. We haven’t put ads on it though.

“Then an injury to Geelong star Gary Ablett. Then within minutes Geelong star Gary Ablett…”

“…Richmond came back, showing Queensland what they missed.” What did they miss?

“…with Richmond keeping the ball mainly down in their 50 section…” in their forward 50, not 50 section.

I didn’t see much of the Seven Upfronts, so can you please tell me if this video was from this year or last year?

I reckon it might be from 2018, what with the 7Food Network logo (wasn’t featured during last year’s upfronts because the channel was about to close IIRC)!

I think the old channel logos are a dead giveaway that this wasn’t this years upfronts.

No 7Food Network anymore either.

Yeah it is from 2018 as @SydneyCityTV said - unfortunately the only clip of the 2021 upfronts I could find was about Big Brother that was posted to YouTube. This is from the “Australia’s Favourite” campaign, but conveniently, it included MKR & House Rules, both of which were mentioned in our report!

Anyways, in our latest bulletin, we experimented with a slightly different opener - what do you all think?

“ONLY 6NewsAU will have UNBIASED coverage”… ummmmmm?

Quite an astounding and libelous claim really, I get he’s just starting out, but wow. What an “up yours” to other organisations. Unless of course he’s prepared to detail where say the ABC or Nine are biased in their coverage.

Be careful with that. Could go wrong very quickly…

Yeah I know. I’ve been messaging a few people who want to be on, and checking the random accounts VERY closely. No anonymous accounts either.

A couple of comments. This report is almost word-for-word from a couple of paragraphs from The New York Times. You mention the NYT at the end regarding Democrat voters, but if you are taking all of your information from the NYT you should state that at the beginning of your report, I think.

This tweet has some good breaking news, but I wonder the ‘more details’ link is to a video from a week ago?

Let me address both your points.

  1. I do agree with mentioning NYT at the beginning. We never aim to plagiarise, and sometimes, you’re on a deadline, and need a script fast. Normally, if I am taking info from just 1 source, I wouldn’t read it near word-for-word.
  1. Think of it like how 7, 9 & 10 all have autoplay videos - sometimes, only roughly related to the topic. That’s what we do sometimes.

An interesting question to ask is if you have any sort of agreement with NYT or any other media source to repurpose or republish their news stories?

I know you mostly don’t have the resources to generate a whole lot of original content but I’d be worried about media outlets getting upset that you use their work even if you attribute it to them.
