They could spend all night on that, really.

Do not adjust your TV.

Yeah, I think SBS having an exclusive chat to Assad, might have been more noteworthy than wall to wall political speculation.

They get low ratings too. Didn’t you just say about Sky’s low ratings?
But yes, I do agree, Sky News would have been my last choice for that award. I think SBS getting a chat with Assad was noteworthy, and Ch7 had some great highlights for their coverage of the Federal Election.

It really has to change to a theatre presentation. The constant noise and talking from a partially/fully drunk audience is unprofessional and distracting. They should wait until the after parties to get tanked. And there needs to be a dress code. Some of the guys are underdressed for what is supposed to be televisions most important night.

Possibly considering they had a dedicated election channel might have helped? Peta Credlin and Paul Murray there to claim a piece of the statue.

Who was the idiot producer who decided to place more time on the singer for the In Memoriam segment than those who were being honoured?

Best presenters tonight, by far

I know that Hamish McLachlan is only presenting the Award for best sports coverage (Games of the XXXI Olympiad) but why did he put his tie in a bow tie rather than a long tie?

This was a genuine highlight. Too often history is swept under the carpet or deemed that only the ‘advertiser unfriendly’ 65+ audience would care. All should learn how they created the foundation of TV as it is today.

Hilarious that David Speers thanks News Corp, public brown nosing doesn’t win you points, too obvious.

Are Sky News still using vision from 7 and 9 and phoners with their journos?

Not sure if you’re serious, but black tie events traditionally call for a bow tie.

John Foreman is the musical director for this year’s event, but Brian Nankervis is also working as audience warm up.

Maybe he prefers his winners to accept their awards in a white skivvy or a surfie t-shirt. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Seven and Nine sitting of 3 Logies each at the moment. Will a win for Samuel Johnson salvage Seven’s night or will one of Nine’s two nominees improve another poor performance from the host broadcaster?

He did it.

Quick question, one that has always confused me.

Why is Seven the only commercial network that is called “Channel Seven” as opposed to their proper name “Seven Network”? Nine and Ten are both named as “Nine Network” and “Network Ten”, so why not Seven?

Stay tuned for all these answers and more when the 59th annual TV Week Logie Awards conclude sometime in the early hours of Monday morning.

And look at the winners of those, highly subjective, oxymornic for what should be objective content. Clear to see the leanings of the judges when you see the winners.
