It’s suspiciously bad radio especially compared to lawsie who tried to vary and balance things.
Chris only does Labor bashing, and rw lobby groups like pro life,and brumby lobby with their silly numbers and claims, anti Muslim and climate change denial. And that’s it ,all you will hear, id say many of the callers are connected somehow. Clearly normal people don’t listen or just don’t call in. I recognise some callers from the galileo movement that Alan Jones and Gina had running and there’s a strong Christian presence with the abortion campaign being particularly annoying because if you google abortion misinformation the whole run sheet 2sm callers use is there, it’s an old rw evangelical born-again campaign from the states. But as it’s opinion nothing can be done about fact check , I can’t listen for long it’s really rubbish.

I disagree. I think Chris Smith’s show is one of the best shows on Australian radio. It’s wonderful to hear important topics and interesting perspectives on there which most other Australian media just won’t discuss any more. If I had the time, I’d probably call in quite regularly but Chris’ show isn’t at a convenient time of day for me to call, but I can listen.
There are callers who disagree with Chris, and I’m glad they get through. I’d say Chris gives them a fair go and probably gives some of them more airtime than some of the regulars who agree with him. The only times I hear Chris really shut down a caller who he disagrees with is when the caller starts claiming that Chris said something he didn’t say, or that someone else said something that they didn’t say. Otherwise he seems to be quite comfortable having a disagreeing conversation with people, but naturally the call can’t go on forever, especially if the caller runs out of points and starts repeating themself.

Just going to leave this here. But has anyone seen the amount of interaction the 2SM Super Radio Network Facebook page has been having? Mainly based on Chris Smith’s content & posts.
I reckon Chris Smith should use the following tagline:
Boring name, lively talkback.
(You can’t get a more boring name than Chris Smith, maybe John Smith).

I’m amased that no one has posted this Graeme Gilbert has passed away age 76 18/07/26 , He gave us some great radio.
