Didn’t Mark Geyer and possibly Ray Warren host an afternoon sports show prior to Talkin Sport? I may have seen it mentioned on a League Unlimited forums post.

I know Mark Geyer was on Talkin Sport before moving to Triple m. Ray Warren was on dead set legends on triple m with Dan Ginnane and Richard Freedman on saturdays.

It’s to my understanding that Ray Warren has been on a few Sydney radio stations over the years, but I’m not sure if 2SM was one of them?
His son Mark (who I believe now runs his own advertising agency, which Rabs has done a fair few ads for) was on a previous incarnation of Talking Sport though, if I’m not mistaken.

Listening to the Brent from 2HD (in Newcastle) on 2SM. Listening to Get it on by T-Rex. They only play the right channel of the stereo feed on the DAB station, instead of just a mono feed.
I know I sound like a nark but how hard would it be to flick the feed to full mono, if it is too hard to send stereo down the line 
. It just sounds strange listening to that song with the way the stereo is mixed. You can’t hear the guitar sound.
Edit- RE: the music on 2SM being played on “the Talkin sport show”, sorry it was a false alarm. I was listening to Sumo and I thought it was the DAB radio ie 2SM.

It appears that Marcus Paul has been told by 2SM management to not talk on-air about Jordon “Friendly Jordies” Shanks and John Barilaro, and that older content was removed from the internet.

I suspect that Bill Caralis will step in here. This ‘presenter’ is a loose cannon chasing conspiracy theories and opening up the network to huge legal liability.

If the last near-decade of observing the Sydney media landscape has taught me anything though, it’s that nothing lasts forever. At some currently undeterminable point in the future, 1269AM Sydney will (again) undergo the sort of major changes that 954 and 1170 have in recent years.
January 2011, so we’ve had just over a decade and a bit of Lawsie on 2SM.
The afternoon presenters have changed, vaguely remember when Meryl Swanson (before she became the current MP for the Federal Electorate of Patterson) presenting the shift which is these days held by Brent Bultitude. Pretty sure there’s been some different presenters on Talkin’ Sport as well.
Talk Tonight with Graeme Gilbert is probably the one show on 2SM (and the Super Radio Network) which hasn’t changed much since it began in 2001!

Yeah most of the weekday changes are more about the presenter leaving rather than the show being axed. Mark Geyer left for Triple M, Bill Harrigan also joined Triple M after being on Talkin Sport. They use to have a show on Saturday that was axed I believe. There are exceptions, but compare 2sm to the others it is pretty stable with the format and announcers. This is when Bill was in control and left the Sydney ratings. In the 90s 2sm was all over the shop, changing formats, names more often than not.

With DAB still being down, I find the website is really slow to get too. It still advertise the LG DAB stylus which hasn’t been on sale for many years, now LG has exited the phone market.
I checked out the facebook page the last post was 2013, Twitter has some tweets from Marcus but not much else. It really feel unloved the global footprint of 2SM. I didn’t check Instagram.
It is a bit sad. The shows on 2SM are not that bad, in my view in some ways better than 2GB (some of the shows that is).
Oh dear now 2SM 1269 is on backup tape. How is 2HD @RFBurns ? Is it still with normal programming?

Sorry about the late reply & missing this post, I don’t know about 2HD?
There was a power outage at Homebush bay this morning so 2SM/2UE would’ve been on backup generator, maybe the link from 2SM to the transmitter dropped out when the power did & needs to be reset?
Is 2SM still on backup tape, Ausgrid are still reporting power’s out around the 2SM/2UE transmitter site.

No it is back up now.
No need to apologise either . I know you live up there was seeing if 1143 had good old John Laws still on.
DAB is still down though.
