Do we really need all this coverage in Aus? 
It’s a globally significant election. If republicans lose control of Senate and House then Trump is a lame duck. Significantly reduces his power. That will have flow on effects around the world.

How it works: The special streaming show will begin at 5pm ET, a few hours before CBS News’ official election broadcast.
- It will be hosted by CBS News executive director of elections and surveys Anthony Salvanto alongside congressional correspondent Caitlin Huey-Burns.
- Pollsters and data experts will appear alongside the pair throughout the livestream, which will be distributed on YouTube, X and CBS News’ owned and operated digital channels, including its streaming network, CBS News 24/7.
