IMO, I’m sure quite a fair few viewers know by now that shows on FTA in primetime rarely start when they are scheduled, though 10 minutes afterwards is probably more so viewers who are waiting have to watch the end of 1% club.
Why is this debate ‘the debate that WILL decide the PM’ as Mark Riley keeps saying? ![]()
Because they think that since it’s the last debate it will be fresh in the voters minds come polling despite many already having made their minds up weeks ago, with a large number having already voted.
Yes if you’re politically inclined. I never watch seven. Maybe 1-2 times a year if that. I often click over for major events so I can criticize them. I don’t like their programming or news service or their personalities or their ownership. They’re a questionably network ethically.
If all the other debates can start on time given these are news events then they can mange rather than shove their bullshit programs down our throats.
For the record, the ABC says there has been more TV debates in this election, than in previous one’s.
Is there a reason they are choosing to start 10 min later than advertised?
Likely so viewers who tune in at 8pm can sample the 1% club
Can’t recall another election campaign anywhere having four debates. While I understand why it’s happened, it’s probably one too many (and I say that as a political junkie).
I’d say the reason that Seven have delayed the start is because Travel Guides on Nine isn’t scheduled to finish until 8:10pm
I agree - they could’ve lighten things up with a debate including leaders from minor parties, though that would probably be total chaos ![]()
how do they extend the 1% club by 10 min then?
The opening is already tragic, this is ridiculous. It’s not a fucking sport event.
Susannah Carr voicing the opening voiceover.
We really need a commission for prime ministerial debates. Generic non partisan organization that makes these debates available to all news organisations.
Its bizzare there are still so many undecided voters.
If you’re going to do long shots like this then perhaps they should lay glossy flooring over the entire space, or not at all??
Is it? I’m torn. They’re both as bad as each other. I’d rather not vote for either of them.
The only compliment I have is the set is good.
This jury room- what’s with the fucking balloons. So tacky.
Mark riley is so cringe. He’s probably the worse political editor out of Canberra.
