Albanese easily won it. Dutton was angry and confirmed he was going to cut and slash. Stupid.
Well of course.. and with her Liberal party connection, Ally would’ve also given it to Dutton.
The post debate discussion was a waste of 25 minutes; all patting themselves on the back for what a great job they had done. Overall, Nine looked to be pretty thin on competent political journalists if that panel was anything to go by.
Coorey must be a pretty bad so-called “LNP apologist” considering he thought Albanese (very narrowly) won the debate…
The notion you have that any journalist or pundit who doesn’t reflect your political views must be discredited has become very tiresome.
Typical.
There was no measure, metric or any moments that Dutton ‘won’ over Albanese. Not that Albo was that inspiring either but I want a decent, compassionate, straightforward and stable leader over the smorgasbord that Dutton’s trying to push out.
You only have to read his daily claptrap to know he’s a Liberal apologist. Same with Peter Fitzsimons and the ALP.
Sums up the entirety of the current iteration of the AFR neatly.
Hear, Hear.
10 had The Election Project in 2013
Nope read his articles in the AFR and his general questioning at the press club and other places. My opinion was informed on a pattern of commentary.
I’ll reiterate my point again. If Coorey was that much of a Liberal ‘apologist’, logic would rationally suggest that (especially in front of the biggest audience he’ll be in front of during this election campaign) he would have found someway to rationslise declaring Dutton to have ‘won’ the debate. He didn’t though.
Will be presented by Gemma Veness
Also Weekend Breakfast will be starting at 6am on the Sunday after the election
So far this morning after almost 3 hours Sunrise still has no coverage of last night’s debate (that I could see). There was coverage in the Early News.
It was notable that because there were no Nine logos in background behind the debaters, showing anything related to Nine could be minimised.
Could be because nothing newsworthy came from it.
There was
Nothing new presented, Nothing of interest came from it, definitely no debating and No clear winner
Very sedentary TV.

7NEWS: Australia Decides – Election 2025, LIVE from 4.00pm AEST, Saturday 3 May
7’s coverage looking to be quite good.
We all know how well that went last time with the Screams…sorry Screen of Dreams.
At least Mark Riley isn’t controlling it.
“The decision-making event that every Australian will be watching.”
Hard to find another promo packed with so much hyperbole.
I know that network PR couldn’t care less when it comes to these sorts of claims, but judging by the record number of early votes on the first day of early voting, I’d say that quite a few have already made up their mind.
